He's been involved with boxing for a few years now. Trains at the wildcard I think and does a few interviews as well.sgtcecil wrote:A.C. No way. Less than 5 lbs, imo.BIGMARK wrote:i would say at least 10pounds, it will interesting to know the on the night unoffical weigh in.Cannibal wrote:There's gonna be a huge weight difference on fight night.
Mark,BIGMARK wrote:for me it is always interesting watching the weigh in and yesterdays was no different. I thought Ricky look good and buisness like while Manny seemed very relaxed, maybe to relaxed? It was good to see that Ricky didnt let the crowd effect his emotions like they did at the PBF weigh in and for me seems in a good place 24 hours before the first bell. Its obvious that Ricky will now rehydrate and i would think put on at least 10 lbs while Manny seemed to be ready to go there and i think will come in no more than 2 or 3 lbs. This has always been a difficult fight to pick and still is but i now feel Ricky is in the best shape of his career and with the extra weight will stop Pacman around the mid rounds although i wouldnt be surprised to see him do it early. The one thing that worries me is Manny hurting Ricky early and then Ricky going back to his old brawler style with no head movement, to win Hatton has to aggressive but in a controlled way with lots of head movement or Manny could cut him to bits with cuts maybe playing a part in this. Anyway i hope we see a good fight and the Ref lets the fighters get on with it and i i'm going with .................................................................Hatton KO5
You will be wrong. Manny's bigger than he was in those fights, and he did look dry at the weigh in, though not as dry as he usually does. All that indicates to me is that he did not drain 15 lbs for this fight. I wouldn't be surprised if Manny is 150 lbs tonight. One thing is for sure, though, he will be more than 142 lbs.BIGMARK wrote:i would normally agree he would put on more than 3lbs but at the weigh in he looked like he was on his way to the ring not making the weight. it was just an observation and history tells us different but i will be surprised to see him weigh in on the night at more than 142 but could be wrongAsterix wrote:Mark,
Manny will put on more than 3 lbs, guaranteed. All you have to do is look at his previous in ring weights. He was 147 lbs in the ring against David Diaz! He was 145 lbs in the ring against Marquez when he weighed in at 129 lbs!
Good question. I don't know the answer though. He always looks like he's in shape.BIGMARK wrote:maybe you're right but as i said before he looked ready to fight which surprised me and not at all drained or dry. We can split the difference and say 145 lbsbut i will be interested to see what he weighs on the night as he looked bigger than Ricky on the scales (of course Ricky was dry as a bone). What does manny walk round at normally about 150-155?
