hatton vs pacquaio no excuses a few hrs before fight

both are in thier prime , both made the weight easy , both have fought very good opponents
if hatton wins - he beats a 4 time world champion who is considered the best boxer on the planet , i dont want to hear anybody say that pacquaio is too small etc , if hatton wins he is numero uno , remember he is expected to get beat
if pacquaio wins - he cements his legacy by beating the boxer who has never tasted defeat since turning pro at 140 , hatton is bigger and stronger , probably the biggest and strongest fighter pacquaio has met , if pacquaio wins we are witnessing a modern day henry armstrong.
no excuses from anybody , the best man will win the fight , there are no injuries , nothing.
just fed up hearing crap after the fight has happened saying guys are shot etc
hattons last fight , he looked impressive
pacquaios last fight , he looked impressive
in the predictor ive taken pacquaio on points......oh how i hope im wrong

Pacquiao is the 3/1 favourite in this fight. If Hatton wins it's a huge achievement.
If Pacquiao wins he has beaten the best light welterweight in the World. Again, a huge achievement.

Ricky can't avoid a right hook from a southpaw.
Magee
Collazo
Both hurt Ricky badly, and now Pacquiao...
Will be interesting to see what he does about it.

I would post this on Current Scene, they are the ones that are going to be saying these things should Hatton win

.

I think they have been working on Hatton firing off his shots and then backing away with a double jab. Feel free to correct me, though, as I might not be remembering correctly.

Yup. I reckon Hatton will be competitive for about 4 or 5 rounds before Pac gradually takes over. I can see him landing a straight left over and over through Hatton's guard, just like he did with DLH. By the 8th I think Hatton will be overwhelmed. I don't think Pac could hit him as hard as Tszyu at 140, but I reckon he will hit him a lot more often and with a lot more sharpness.
But at the same time that could be put on it's arse. Hatton will probably have a stone on Pac at bell time, and we still really haven't seen a guy that much bigger than Pac detonate on his chin. Pac has been stopped in the past at lower weights, but I'm still confident of a Pac win altough he will take more shots than he did in the DLH fight.

Pac is not the monster he was at the lower weoghts, he should beat Hatton...DESPITE HATTON BEING SO MUH BIGGER!Beau Hatton will say he us P4P Number 1 and people with no sense will believe him..I want Pacman to knock him out!

I don't think Hatton's punch resistance is nearly as good as it was back in 2005.
Hatton won't outweight Pacman by 14 lbs. More like 4 lbs. But even that will be strange for Pacquiao, as he's used to outweighing his opponents.

Hatton's Dad says he about 153 lbs right now. His Dad says Pacquiao will be around 146-148 lbs.
That's 7-9 lbs. I think it will be less than that. We'll see.

I could easily see a 7-9lb swing. Ray might be under selling it though and Hatton could be even heavier. By bell time he might gain another lb or so.

You were bang on, commentators just announced a 4lb weight difference on the night.

Thanks Cannibal. Their weights' tonight are consistent with their historical weights.
Hatton - 152 lbs
Pacquiao - 148 lbs

Hatton's ability to take a punch has always varied though. I remember thinking that he'd be stopped easily be Tszyu on account of him being out on his feet against a much lighter puncher in Eamonn Magee.

I take your point, but also, once a chin is cracked the first time (Mayweather TKO10) it becomes easier to crack it again. We'll see how his chin is tonight as I'm sure Manny will test it.

David Diaz, who said something along the lines of, "did someone get the license plate of that truck?"

ive read some shite on here already on other threads , hattons never that good , beat nobody bullshit
what pacman did to hatton was devastating , it got me thinking of tyson vs spinks
what it does show is how good pacquaio is , hatton was the best at 140 and pacman destroyed him in 2 rounds , as mentioned in the original post - no excuses
i hope pacman fights mayweather as he has the speed and workrate to give mayweather fits , he also has the power i think to hurt mayweather
pacman - stunning , you were before but you are a legend of the sport
hatton - hope you retire mate , 3 world titles at 2 weights , plenty of ££££ and a good family behind you , you owe the fans nothing , we have all enjoyed your career , thanks hitman

kostya tsyzu was in the pound for pound top 3 when hatton beat him
castillio was only shot because hatton beat him easy , before hand hatton was a slight favorite ,
malinaggi was a good champion and regarded the 2nd best at 140 when hatton beat him
that is hattons best 3 wins
ps: so manny gets no credit as he beat hatton easy then if you go by the castillo excuse
hatton made castillo look bad , that what you called a good performance
pacman made hatton look bad , again a good performance
no excuses - pacman was amazing

KT was as much a TOP 3 fighter at the time as Tyson was number 1 wbc when he came out of jail.
Castillo showed against Ngouduouououou that he was past it.
PM was a decent win against someone given fits by Ngougogogdooo and Ndou.
Hatton was never ever elite.
He has faced 2 ELITE Prime fighters and is 0-2 and 2 knock out losses.
