Manny Pacquiao V Floyd Mayweather

For me now this fight needs to happen. I dont have much interest in another Marquez fight.

He really did look devastating last night, i thought he would have problems with the strength of Ricky but he was like a matador.

The perfect piece to Mannys puzzle now would be a victory over Mayweather.

I think Mayweather would catch Pacquiao as Pacquiao can be hit and i think Mayweather's the man to expose his faults

This fight needs to happen, but it can only happen at 147.

My all-time dream matchup is Pernell Whittaker -v- Roberto Duran (but at 135), as it pits the consumate aggressive fighter versus the consumate defensive fighter.

FMJ -v- Pacman would be very similar IMO.

Why can it only happen at 147?

I don't think Floyd can do 140 anymore & I think that 154 might be a division too far for Manny.

Will this fight be a 50 50 split or will it go in favour of pbf?
It is very important to get a weight that suits both men equally so it cant be said that either man was out of his depth i dont think it should be over 147 maybe 143 as has been said, Anyone got idea of what weight did floyd say about weight?

Good idea.

Maybe Floyd can make 143, as he can always add a few pounds before fight night.

I'm just very wary of fighters dropping back down the weights after going up & being successful.

I remember what happened to RJJ in 2004, when he came back down to 175 after winnig a version of the HW & fighting dangerous opposition.

PBF is fighting JMM at 132 or 143 s PACMAN at 145 is better for PBF.

PBF would beat Manny.

Remember that JMM has arguably beat PACMAN twice and JMM would not get near PBF in a fight.

I think Manny should fight again in the summer. Mayweather doesn't fight until July, which means the earliest a Mayweather/Pac fight can happen is November/December time. That's a long time when your last fight was only 1.5 rounds.

Pac didn't get hurt and it was over quick, so he should keep in shape and fight someone like Timothy Bradley and officially become a 6 weight World champion. There'd probably be enough money on the table to get Bradley to cash in.

HBO said last night that the fight can happen at a catchweight.

I'd put money on Pacman to win. 'Scuse the pun.

Mayweather potshotting on points. Manny doesn't do as well against timed counter punching.

Manny does carry the weight well though up to 140 and impressed sparking Hatton out like that though. :KO:

Mayweather always finds a way to win and he can do against JMM and Manny.

Remember Guys, this is a Mayweather with 24 months ring rust and decimated hands and back problems.

If it was 2006/2007 I'd agree.

Mayweather is not easy to hit like Ricky is though. Floyd was complaining about back and hands and was still winning easy.

It's not been 24 months exactly yet.

Mayweather would play spoiler in this fight i reckon. Pacquio would like'ly find it difficult to land due to that and after a few rounds we'd be watching a pretty boaring fight as Mayweather will be taking forever picking his shots. I feel quite confident he would beat Pacquio, but i doubt it would be exciting.

What the fcuk is he doing fighting Marquez? The guys an arse, its time he stood up to the plate and stopped cherry picking his oponents. Pacquio must remain P4P#1
