What did you make of him last night??

That was the first i have seen of him but bloody hell am i impressed. Obviously very low opposition. but he has quick hands, quick feet, amazingly accurate, combination punches, very aggressive and most of all POWER.

He's my new one to watch for the future.

I had a tenner on him to win gold at the Olympics at 25/1 - I really thought he would win it.

He's the real deal alright

He does look good. He is about 26 so hopefully his fights are all purposeful, and hopefully he learns all the stuff he needs.

he had 1 fight where he looked unimpressive, v Cory Jones, but Korobov knocked him out in the final seconds nonetheless.

I'm sure John Murray will be chuffed at the comparison. Hahaha

I've seen Korobov a few times not fought anybody any good to date but the manner in which he's taking them out is impressive. He seems to do everything very well, nothing todislikeso far.

I believe he'll fight on Cotto-Clottey & Pavlik-Mora cards in June. After that i'd match him with Michael Walker he went the distance with Jacobs last night.

I really liked what I saw last night. He barely wasted a punch.

Isn't Dan Birmingham his trainer? I didnt see him in the corner?

Yeah Birmingham was in his corner and he's been sparring a lot with Winky so i'm lead to believe

Birmingham wasnt in the corner last night, Korobov has split with him and his father George is now his trainer. Not sure on the reasons (maybe winky's beating!) but its 100% true.

Oh and i thought he was awesome last night, he overshadowed both Jacobs and Lara. Korobov v Micheal Walker would be interesting to see as a measuring stick

Yeah Korobov and Birmingham split as meantioned above, now Korobov is going to be trained by his father. I met both guys in L.A prior to there fight on the Margarito-Mosley card. Both seemed pretty good together i'm surprised that they have split so soon.

The Cory Jones performance wasn't so good but i guess you can'tbe brilliant everytime, each fight is very much a learning curve for him so early in the pro's. Outstanding finishing punch though.

Silly comment to make at this time. Of course, Korobov has the potential to be better but until he starts performing like that against guys that are half-decent then you have to say Murray's better at the moment. For further proof, just watch his fights against Meager and McAllister.

yep i like Korobov but he wiould look stupid if he loses to the 1st guy who stands up to him. like alexander alexeev in germany, when the tough argie took his shots and came back he folded. now AA's pushing 30 and has done bugger all.

murray looks awesome when the opponent fights inside - he gave meager the kind of beating that a borderline world class fighter would have dished out. i have a feeling if murray fought johanesson, castle and arthur (has outside boxing skills but dive bombs his attacks & open to left hooks) ppl would be going on about how good murray is a bit more often

At the moment Korobov would get my vote he has more ring time and has been in with the better quality of fighters but later in there careers this will be a cracker i wouldnt like to put my money one way or another

He looked awful in that fight and then laid the guy out in literally the last 10 seconds. I remember Bunce dismissing him after that saying that DeGale would be too classy for him. Though its not like Buncey to to succumb to home town bias and knee jerk reactions.

Hahah shows what Bunce knows Korobov i believe will be far better as a pro than Degale.
