the guy loads up too much, extremely roar has done well so far just on brute strength.it will get harder for him now as he'll not get opponents found for him but to be thrown in too see if he can swim.
who gives an eff about unbeaten records these days.

Just get back to the gym and keep learing, Larry.

59-57 to a more experienced fighter is nothing at all. 60-54 loss would tell us something, but one more round to Larry and its a draw.

No big deal at all.

Hopefully he can come back and earn some good prize money. It was early in the career and quite far down the bill so few will have seen it. He's a big powerful bloke and - at worst - if he lands the right punch at the right time he can make up plenty of lost ground.

I wonder what ppl think of Fury v Olubamiwo now. Do ppl think it was so terrible for Fury and Hennessy to call them out?

Fraaaiiiiink - one of the best, few will doubt it - had one of his peevish lil rants on here saying that Hennessy didn't have the artistry to develop a prospect. Did "Meaty Mick" have the last laugh? Could Fury-Olubamiwo happen now, after what is surely jut a minor blip on Larry's record?

Larry is a top guy and a fine gentlemen, but come on, he has power and very limited skills. He's too heavy with his muscular physique and will always tire if he doesn't get his man out of there in the first few rounds. He won't go very far in my opinion.

Larry will never make it to southern area level. He is simply not good enough. He doesn't have much power, he just has size and not speed with no technique. He isn't a pro boxer, anyone under 30 can train for 6months and beat 2 very poor journeymen its when you start fighting journeymen with a little bit of ambition is when complete novices will come un-stuck a la Larry.

Olubamiwo, supposedly one of our better heavyweight prospects, gets outscored by a lumbering journeyman with more losses than wins, and it's a "good learning experience" and a "minor blip" for a guy who's already in his 30s...

That`s because he posts on here. He gets cut more slack. It sounded likea poor performance from Larry, but I have not seen it so I can`t really comment. He should be leathering guys like Peret though.

Can't agree with that. He's good enough but I've said before he's just too big. Lose the big muscles and the speed starts to come and the conditioning improves. Its all about different energy systems and all that bulk is doing the opposite of what Larry needs. Trust me, I'm a personal trainer with a license from the board and a GCE in maths and Art so i must be right.

With the limited amateur experience etc its hardly the end of the world.

Larry himself knows he is not even ready for the british at todays date.

Losing is not the end of a fighter unless you are 40-0 and built your name against some shot Russian/Aussie.

Also, maybe because Larry come across as a decent guy ands says he know he has a lot to
learn has a lot to do with it.

The support on here for the 'boxers' that come on and debate is a good thing.

Hell, I bought the PPV on the weekend to see Mooresy tump down someone and for the Williams fight, Brixton and all that!

Trust me, I'm a personal trainer with a license from the board and a GCE in maths and Art so i must be right.

BBBofC dont give out personel trainers licenses, You can have a trainers or seconds license,
or both as I did,
And with Maths and Art did Rodney Trotter had the same qualifications down Peckham way.

I realise he posts on here and naturally people are going to support boxers they have a connection with. In fact, my brother is actually mates with the guy. However my point was not so much to criticise Larry (although that was a very poor result), more to put things into perspective for all the Hatton critics - and to point out a bit of double standards.

Hatton is jugded on his 'talk' imo.

Also the 3rd person references. I know he is talking to the fans who know nothing abo the sport, but come on!

Larry knows where he is in terms of skill ability etc, he says himself 'he has a lot to learn'.

He is a novice-pro, time will tell.
