As a massive Hatton supporter, It was perhaps the worse defeat of any Brit in a high profile worldwide fight.

Jennings did better against Cotto it must be said.

It was such a pounding, that it was akin to the hiding that Arturo Gatti took off Floyd Mayweather.

Gatti went from being a contender in the mix at the top, to C-class in just one fight.

I felt from the magnitude of the loss on Saturday, that the same kind of effect on Ricky was inflicted.

Danny "humble" Flexen? Seems he is keen to talk about himself- including, for example, in that very sentence!

I'm only messing, Flexen seems like a decent guy.

Reagrding "hero" Hatton, and the "standard bearing over the last 5 years." I'm not sure how true that is. As a boxing fan, I've never warmed to him. He has gathered a "barmy army" of fans, but these seem more like fans of the man, not the sport. The fact that people like Peter Kay have enduring popularity just goes to show how meaningless it really is!

Ulysees, who works in the office, pointed out the same thing. I mean that Haton and I have both come from working-class backgrounds and that HE has stayed humble... blame my poor sentence construction which I'm sure Bennie will blame on the lack of subbing from his brother... maybe he's right, it does read like I'm a big head!

I love in that Sun article that there's a line that says, re the Ripper, "Bruno later had his own mental health problems, with cocaine abuse."
