What have been the biggest clash of ego in a big fight?

When two boxers are set to fight each other.
And sometimes even before the fight is made - and when the fight is made - in the build up - in the press conferences - at the weigh in - and sometimes you hope the hype is carried into the ring for a explosive fight too.
There is a real clash of ego - where they are at each others throats - wanting to impose their dominance on each other and they refuse to back down.
Recent times I thought ..............
Floyd Mayweather V Ricky Hatton was a good clash of ego - where Hitman had to be pulled back from pretty boy at the weigh in.
Joe Calzaghe V Bernard Hopkins was another one - with the mouthy Hopkins annoying Calzaghe with his trash talk.

yeah
Benn V Eubank is a real extreme clash of ego and they carried that ego clash in the ring for a very good fight where they inflicted alot of pain on each other
also
Bruno V Lennox Lewis - that was a ugly clash of ego as well

I sensed some extreme ego tension between
Benn V McCllellan as well
as you can see when there really is a extreme clash of ego - it can make for a real brutal fight
just gives a fight that extra edge.
What happened to McCllellan was terrible.
But before that fight it was McCllellan saying he was going to inflict serious damage on Benn.

yes
Bruno said after the fight - that he accept he lost to Lewis fair and square but he was still going to sue Lewis for calling him a "uncle tom" which goes to show the bad feeling was still there even after the fight and show was over
a real ugly clash of ego that
and it spurred Bruno on to give his career best performance I think

Is there a difference between clashes of ego and clashes between fighters who dislike eachother? I think so. Some fights can be both types of clashes, and others can be one or the other.
For instance, Vargas and DLH hated eachother, but clash of egos? I don't think so.
Same goes for Morales v Barrera, who genuinely loathed eachother, but neither has what I'd call a big ego.
In terms of big egos clashing, Toney-Jones must have been a big one -- probably as awkward to negotiate as it was to fight in.
Some fighters have egos so big I could clash from them here in Moscow, but I can't off the top of my head think of two mega-egos clashing -- you know, like, say if Hopkins and Mayweather were in the same weight class.

robin reid v joe calzaghe
reid wanted to fight Calzaghe in a car park during a fight promotion photo shoot a few days before the fight
calzaghe was pissing reid off with his crap talk
Calzaghe then told part time male model Reid at a press conference
"your just jealous because I am better looking than you"
now that is egotiscal
I think all the ego was coming from Calzaghe who was alot more immature and less media savvy back then
Reid was just reacting to Calzaghes childish behavior

haye v vitali
however if wlad destroys haye -and there is a strong possibilty he might - the vitali fight may not happen then
but if haye ko's wlad
haye v vitali will be very big ego clash with plenty of needle

that was more a one sided thing - with Michael Gomez showing the ugly side of his nature.
he slammed his head up against Carl at the weigh in and Frank Maloney told him to shove off and that Gomez was just a bully
"a bully thats all you are" - said Maloney
