Carl Thompson's entire career comes to mind but beyond that?

Thompson was pure drama.

Duran over Barkley

One that impressed me most recently was Mosley beating Margarito. OK, not everyone thought he was shot, but there were many murmurs of it after his fight against Mayorga (which he won with seconds to spare).

Holyfield over Tyson

Thompson over Haye was pretty big.

Hopkins over Pavlik. People slated him when he fought Calzaghe. He took Pavlik to school and showed him up to be a one dimensional banger.
Defensive genius.

Gomez v Arthur

There were quite a few comments on here about Calzaghe fighting a 43 year old Hopkins who was over the hill. Not shot, granted, but on the decline. His Pavlik performance was a masterclass.

I thought the Hopkins JC fight was a mismatch, I'll admit it. I now love Hopkins for the way he handled Pavlik.

Charlie Magri beating Mercedes for the world title has to be up there.

Charlie was seen as "shot" by a lot of people before he beat Mercedes. Recently knocked out twice and dropped in his comeback fight....Boxing News was calling for him to retire.

Casamayor v Kasitidis. Looked like Joel had little left at the top in his previous fight.

The ones that stand out, for me, are Duran beating Barkley, Leonard beating Hagler, Holyfield beating Tyson, and, the big one, the one that nobody has mentioned, Ali beating Foreman.

Of recent times, Hopkins was definately written off as old and past it after Calzaghe took him, and his dominating win over Pavlik was a shock and awesome. Hopkins was also written off when taking on Tarver after being beaten twice by Taylor, but the win was a shock that put him back at the top.

Although nobody ever quite wrote him off, I really appreciated Mosley's wins against Vargas and Margarito. He was completely cominated twice by Forrest and then Wright, yet came back to occupy a place atop the 147 pound division with some excellent performances.

Holyfield-Valuev i know he never won but he did really well and deserved to win

Could well be mate - it's probably my memory. I was at the Hull show and could of sworn it was there but i've been to that many fights since that i can't honestly remember.

I think "Irish" Micky Ward vs "The Shamrock Express", Shea Neary, was on the London bill. What a great fight that was! You couldn't take your eyes off it for a second.
