yeah BBN..I just though what the fcks all that about?? do they actually watch it?

said on another thread though, fair play to Sexton, he is the first man to beat Rogan, although he was more than a touch lucky!

Rogan and Parris both did a better job of beating Rogan than Sexton did!

I'm tempted to say I need to watch it again before making judgement. The truth is my eyesight is not as bad as that!!

Rogan was a touch lucky to be allowed to continue with that eye after about round 4....if this was world title boxing he could have been buthchered boxing with one eye....but the referee in my opinion should have protected Sexton from getting laid out cold by stopping the contest in favour of Rogan.
The whole thing was a mess tonight.

I think Parris should have stopped it when Sexton turned his back he was gone and then Parris talked to Rogan about punching the back of Sexton but never said nothing to Sexton for turning his back but Rogan showed inexpierence when Sexton looked at the floor and Rogan stopped throwing he could of KO'd him there IMO

To be fair I think BBN just put in whoever has had the biggest victory of that week.

Sexton picked up a title with the win.

I cannot believe Sexton said he wants "to go on to bigger things" rather than give Rogan a rematch. He has too much un-finished business with Rogan and if he was a true champion their would be an immediate rematch.

correct Sexton picked up the win and the title - but that ignores the miriade of other variables that involved in a fight. If its based purely on the biggest win of the week why not call it "Boxer the won the most high profile fight of the Week" - catchy eh!?!

I think it has much more to do with performance - infact I wouldnt be adverse to the odd "loser" being the "Boxer of the Week" if they overperformed in a fight against a boxer who was anticipated to blow them away.

You can't compare Sexton's achievement to Sinclair's.

For all the bluster of young heavyweights like Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora it was nice to see the modest Sexton justify his potential in the ring. I'm not sure how much further Sam can go but for now let him enjoy what must be a very satisfying win. It wasn't Sexton's fault that Rogan let him off the hook and that the referee and the ringside doctor elected to pull Rogan out.

2. Showed bottle by trading with Rogan - eh, not sure about that, anytime Rogan was near him he held/clinched.

3. Let him enjoy what must be a very satisfying win - if he feels satisfied by that then I think there is something wrong - if I was him I wouldnt be able to look at the belt because I'd be that embarassed.

4. You are right it wasnt Sextons fault that Rogan let him off or the referee hooked Rogan to the doctor - but the manner of the was, at best bizarre, at worst disgraceful.

Why shouldn't Sexton be satisfied after recording the biggest win of his career on away soil against a previously unbeaten fighter who was heavily fancied to win? You lot crack me up

I dont think anyone would suggest that - in fact I thought he had the better of the opening rounds and I have him ahead (winning rounds 2,3,5 and 7) going into the eighth. None of the rounds did he win particularly convincingly except the 7th.

hey ben, sexton boxed well, i like his style, but huge question marks against his stamina, i just like the whole rogan story, and i did not want to see him beat so im a bit biased i guess. i had the fight even-ish at the finish, but rogan was getting through...big time. shame about the eye, probably head clashes but not intentional and 6 of one half dozen etc. im looking forward to the rematch.
