For me it all depends on who is in the other corner. Obviously the Olympians will be in showcase fights which is no problem, but the other names mentioned should be in with half decent opponants at least. If their not then what's the point?

Cleverly isn't on the card. Defending his Commonwealth title on Friday Fight Night this week, and is in action in July challenging MacIntosh for the British title on a Hennessy Show.

I think they are a big plus if they are down the bill like this. I do agree you have to give them 2 years before you discover if they are any good.

Williams vs Chisora is the first fight to be scrapped. Let's see what else happens.
At the moment Boxrec has:
Andriy Kotelnik vs Amir Khan
Matthew Hall vs Anthony Small
Matthew Macklin vs TBA
James DeGale vs TBA
Billy Joe Saunders vs TBA
Frankie Gavin vs TBA
That's not bad, but TBA will likely translate to crap.

Yeah, it's a decent bill, but if that's anywhere near worthy of PPV then I'm Chinky Pacquiao.

I am gutted about this actually... its not an excellent show.
A few blow outs against punchbags is not what I call an excellent show. Lets hope Macklin is facing somone decent.

Pretty sure Macklin is fighting Bendall, so that's nothing to get overly excited about.

Looking much better with Maccarinelli vs Lebedev on it. Shame that the Walsh brothers are there too.

Matthew Macklin just said he could be fighting the winner of Matthew Thirlwall vs George Hillyard.

hmm. that'd do me. quick-ish turnaround from the May to June dates but better than Bendall IMO
