I'm betting Guzman struggles to make weight, pulls out shortly before the fight and announces his move up to welterweight, patterns repeats itself until he eventually settles at super middleweight.

Wow huge Guzman fan, been very impressed with Bradley too who might just be a sleeping giant himself. No idea how Guzman will handle 140 but he's weighed 147 on fight night looking in good condition so I'll stick my neck out and say he handles it well, realises its his last big shot and come in great shape. Guzman is the superior boxer, so:

Guzman UD 8-4 (if its fair judging)

Bradley beats him out of sight

agree RLewis. tho i am biased towards bradley. i like him.

Guzman is the more skilled but he's going to be fighting someone bigger and more relentless than anyone he's yet seen. he'll be ringrusty and its not the fight to be getting over that.

hopefully it'll be juan diaz v guzman, which was in the rumour mill recently. then we might see guzman get a bit of a beating, as diaz can get on top of a fighter pretty quickly.

not sure what guzman would have been like at 140. (i think he went over lightweight limit once and was very slappy and negative, v jauregei?). bradley is nothing special and doesn't hit any harder than many 135-pounders. bradley-guzman was not a fight i wanted to happen, so i won't complain about this.

WBO could have sanctioned bradley-guzman - guzman potentially could have become a "4 weight world champion" (all WBO titles, whihc makes you wonder why they didn't go for it).

Guzmans mother just passed away according to fiight news.

Guzman, on his day, is a fantastic boxer. I can see an argument for either boxer winning. I hope that it's Bradley, though, as I hate Guzman's style.

guzman would outbox anyone apart from the very best,he has truly outstanding skills . By all acounts he has a poor attitude in regards to training and preparation hence his weight making antics.I dont think he ll have the opportunity to prove how good he is.

I think Guzman will play with Bradley and KO him easy. Brad was pretty shaken up by Holt. Guzman is in another league entirely.

am i right in saying Guzman hasn't KO'd anyone in about his last 10 fights though, or at least since he went north of 122lbs.....?

it's always confused me the confidence people have shown in Guzman stopping various mooted opponents over the last 2 years, though the fact that Guzman never actually makes the fight makes them easy predictions to make with little chance of being proved wrong.

ok so he may be streets ahead of bradley skillwise, but in terms of fitness, attitude, etc bradley has him there i think.

and so what, if Holt had Bradley on the deck? Holt's a big puncher, who actually has knockouts of people bigger than Agapito fricken Sanchez on his record, Bradley ran into a cracking left hook, and was up and fighting back in short order.

i think Bradley would do this on workrate and pressure, when Guzman's 35 punches a round don't stop him or have him backing off he'll end up taking rounds just like he did off Witter, IMO.

Bridge too far for Guzman, if he had discipline he wouldn't be fighting at 140.

bradley has impressed me too. he wins convincingly.

I'm not so sure it's all because of discipline. He seems like one of those fighters who drained so much that he's now jumping up weight divisions quickly because his body won't accept anything else (just like with Pacquiao, whose body forced him up to lightweight, and even at lightweight he was a big drainer!)
