F*cking disgusting it was. Barry michaels is the most bias commentator i have ever seen. If mundine cant sit down properly, its cause barrys tongue is stuck in his arse.
Absolute joke. I cant get over it.

Nor can i, Barry Michael should be barred from MUndine cards, he so far up his fucken ass it makes me sick, and where did my favorite boxing commentator go, Paul Briggs, he was there for the first 2 fights and miracously disappeared, Barry Michaels makesw me question his boxing know how ever time he opens his mouth, Geale UD, your the better fighter mate hold your head up.

I don't think it was a clear win for Mundine. 113-114 was probably the closest score to how the fight actually went and in all honesty I scored it a draw. The only really decisive round for Mundine was the 2nd. The ref was fairly useless as he did nothing about hitting on the breakor elbows and forearms.

I thought Mundine by 1 round, and I don't like him as a person. He fought a great fight but jeez he's hard to warm to.
Anyone else feel a bit uncomfortable watching Geale, as champion still, standing in centre ring waiting for the decision and the Man not even paying the courtesy of letting the ref hold his hand up. Bit poor Anthony, You wonder why people boo you. Its not about race or religion it's about you seemingly having no respect for others. Yes and God is great.

Also didn't like him claiming the only reason he had marks on his face was because of Geales head. Geale landed clean shots right on his face. Mundine was leading with his head as well and using his forearms.

how do you guys feel about the tape on the gloves of mundine constantly coming off???
and the slip/ or knockdown to mundine in prob 6th round... can really remember which round??
i thought it was a huge fight, really good for aussie boxing, but simple things like i mentioned may have caused the fight to go the other way if the referee had deducted points!!

The slip was an actual slip I reckon but the tape on the gloves annoyed the hell out of me. Mundine looked very gassed at a couple of points and that allowed him some valuable breathing time.

The rules of boxing are, if you are hit and your gloves touch the ground, its a knock down. The tape was a good ploy as mundine has never fought at that pace and you could see he was puffed and needed the continual rest. Should have had a point deducted. And should have been warned for elbows and hitting after the break 30secs into round one.
Geale took the fight to mundine. Was busier and landed more cleaner shots. Geale was the champion. The challenger must take the title from him. If there were rounds that could have gone either way.... Then they should be Geales as he is the champion.

I had Geale by 2points.
Pretty clear I thought. He was busier, the aggressor, landed more, was never really hurt and that includes a 10/8 rnd to choc !!
Barry Michael was great a great fighter. He is and always has been the most one eyed bias commentator when it comes to Mundine fights. Absolutely disgraceful effort on his behalf.
Talking about disgraceful, was there actually a ref in this fight.
Choc was knocked down, no standing 8. Watch it. His foot slipped because he got blasted to the face. You slow any kd down enoough and you can call it a slip.
And how many times can you waste time ??? The second time his tape comes open his corner should be warned. The third a point taken off..............how many times did this happen, at least 5 ? Great tactic, Mundine was spent and it worked or him.
I am still shattered regarding this result. The best, very best, Choc should have got out of this was a draw.

Ive watched the fight twice now, I scored it like you mate. There were a few close rounds but Geale was pushing the action and landed far more punches.

i was a great admirer of michaels as a fighter ,as far a a judge goes he should stick to commentating,as you can turn the volume down,i backed mundine but i think young geale was robbed, power punches and punches landed are not the same, the way fights are being judged now a BOXER cannot win ,anyway geale finished as stong as mundine, geale put more punches together, don,t they score body punches any more. mundine acted like a complete grub at the end,he,ll get more than bumps on the head when ,if he ever goes over sees.and this is his first world title.

This Fight was another Money under the table gig... I will never watch another Australia Boxing Match in Oz ever again... Geale won that fight if not a draw.. and the KD in second rd of the fight was a slip followed by a punch... NOT A KD. Prediction for mundine fights in future is he get knock out by one of the germans...

its almost laughable the way u guys say geale landed more than mundine
i didnt score it myself but mundine won by 2-3 rounds . he is one accurate son of a bitch and got thru with a lot, although admittadley most werent power shots.

Judging by the amount of disagreement, I think the result is a pretty fair one. If so many people have different scores, it must have been a very close fight with lots of rounds that could have gone either way. I also disagree with the who "champion should be awarded close rounds" notion. Score it as you see it, trying not to think of the fighters, just red corner and blue corner.
