I think Dawson will have learned from their first encounter and will win this one with a bit more in hand.

I'm convinced Dawson will win. I wasn't impressed that much with the Johnson that fought Judah. But at least it was better than the first fight.

fair play, I was wrong to doubt you...seems like Dawon's whole thing is to win belts then give them up again.

I felt Johnson broke Judah down in a controlled, aggressive way. Typical Johnson, and a nice stay-busy (the "revenge" angle and all). That he beat a southpaw will have been a decent preparation.

Johnson will give dawson a good fight. Johnson may have 2 or 3 great moments but like last time, he won't have it in the tank, or he won't quite have the power, to finish Chad.

Glad that Glen may get his big fight on HBO. What a shame that he won't win a title, if he does get the better of Dawson.

The thing here is this fight is not guarenteed to take place in the UK - I thought it would!!

TV is one big struggle at the moment - yet another world title fight that will be at 4 0'clock in the morning because UK TV will not support a "Brit" in a major world title fight.

TV needs to get on board for this fight - at the moment they dont want it!!! - come on cough a reaonable sum and the fight will be in this country!!

not read the article. surely it would be a good theme to the night if woods-cloud was on the dawson-johnson undercard.

i think cloud will grind down woods for a late stoppage. clinton's done well - and can make it a memorable night to salvage his US reputatrion - but he must be near the end, and cloud is a nasty handful. cloud will get a rep for stopping tough strong guys that don't get stopped much/at all (as with gonzalez)

hopefully they all fight on the same night and then winner vs winner for the title. none of these guys are big names but on the whole, 2 fights on the same show is a solid TV package for a night of world class light heavyweight boxing.

Cloud isn't a decent draw in the US, Spud. Probably Showtime.

Cloud is an animal, you can hear his punches land.
It would be the performance as his career if Woods beats him IMO

Will American TV be interested in Clinton after his poor showing against Tarver out there

Johnson-Dawson may tick HBO's boxes but it ticks no boxes with me. When are they going to push Dawson into some exciting bouts instead of sparring the old guard?

He will outpoint Johnson again like he did the first time. As for Woods, well, if he beats Cloud then it's a career best win, but it's a big ask.

I think Dawson's rematch clause with Tarver has fvcked up Dawson's title run.

Dawson has beaten Tarver x2 (for the IBF), Johnson, Adamek (for the WBC). He certainly deserves to hold a world title belt.

If Tarver would have just pissed off, Dawson could have got the mandatory (Cloud) out the way, he would have likely been coming off an exciting win and ppl would be more pumped up for the Johnson rematch.

Rico Hoye came over to England(having despatched better opponents than Cloud)Something like 15kos/tkos in 18 fights.
He was the favourite to "DESTROY" Woods, well we all know what happened there.

4 years ago I could go out on the wallop and get up brand new the next day, now it takes me 3 days to recover.

Yeah but the Hoye fight was a set up wasn't it.

Rumour has it someone snuck Hoye a "Rotherham special" kebab.

And he starts looking vulnerable as early as round 3. Clinton avided throwing body shots so the beating didn't look too obvious.

"Everything's connected. Tell me 2 things that aren't."

...Then, years later, Clinton went to America, and he looks below par, losing to Tarver. Something in the water, hmm?

Yes, gotta give Dawson his dues. He won the belt defended against Johnson, but reliquished the belt in order to face the person most people saw as the best champion, excluding the unavailable Hopkins. Now, he's doing it again.

Watch Tavoris Cloud fight than watch Rico Hoye. Cloud is faster, hits harder, and is a relentless animal. Inside the ring Cloud and Hoye are a level apart and Woods is probably going to get stopped in this one or get battered for twelve rounds.

If Clinton pulls the off the upset than I will eat my words, but that is highly unlikely.
