I see the results from Stoke tonight. Ahmed and Crolla both lost on points. Did anyone see these fights? Were they any good?
Sutherland won, although that was a given.
Also, was there anything of interest on the undercard?

sykes v crolla was an absolutely stunning fight, they really put on a gr8 show.
sykes nearly had him down towards the end of the fiftht and was pretty impressive fight. crolla won the first two rounds i think but after that sykes walked him down. real tough, honest fight.
edwards v ahmed, really good, entertaining fight. especially because it got a bit of stick in the build up. ahmed must have one of the strongest chins around because he refused to go down!
scott haywood got beat on a close decision after a knockdown in the fifth.
Didn't see Sutherland as i was backstage...but did a better job than degale.

I was there. Darren Sutherland looked solid and threw some great body shots during the fight. He continues to impress. I also discussed Boxrec with him
The Sykes v Crolla and the Ahmed v Edwards fights were action packed. A very entertaining show overall.

Really brave i thought he was gone in the 5th round but he was brave and every time Edwards looked like stopping him he would come back with a flurry so the ref couldnt stop it he was so brave

Yeah he definately showed some grit, but he had to after that ringwalk, watching him strutt and funk his way to the ring took me back to my Naz days. I found it highly amusing
I kept predicting that Uzzy only had 1 more round in him from about the 4th onwards, gave up on that prediction around the 10th
I'm an Uzzy fan after last nights showing, heart of a lion

The punch count was unbelieveable on both the Edwards and Sykes fights. Joe Calzaghe esq.
Sutherland i thought done OK. Very strong jab, but i felt he could have upped his workrate a little bit, especcially when he backed the guy up. Felt he could have been throwing 4/5/6 punch combo's instead of two or three.
However, on the flip side, i liked the way he was patient, didn't waste his punches and wasn't concerned with knocking the guy out quickly. I guess if he had done the former it would the latter wouldn't have been apparent.
