Bute v Froch Almost Done?

Sources close to the negotiations have advised xxxxxxxx.com that a super middleweight unification between undefeated champions [WBC] Carl Froch and [IBF] Lucian Bute is penciled in for September - if a rematch between Bute and Librado Andrade is not finalized within the next few days. Bute's people have been trying to make a deal with Andrade and his manager, Al Haymon, but are only giving it a few more days to actually happen. There have been some problems because neither network, HBO or Showtime, is interested in buying Bute-Andrade. From what I've been told, Showtime has already made a commitment to reserve a September date for a possible Froch-Bute encounter. Considering the money involved with the American, Canadian and British television rights, it's no surprise that Bute and Froch are requesting to fight each other. According to more than one source, Bute has agreed to fight Froch in England.
I heard September 5 or 12th as the two possible dates.

Sorry to sound cynical EPNG but until the ink's dry I believe nothing.
I also don't buy that Showtime say no to Bute Andrade but yes to Bute Froch.

good to see if it does actually happen...my fear is the IBF will step in and strip Bute as they often do when their champions unify so it ends up being a non-unification match

You can gurantee the IBF will strip him. They're renowned for stripping champions for replacing a mandatory with a better opponent (Clottey, Margarito, Hatton).

it's actually old news that showtime aren't interested in buying bute v andrade, so i am a little more hopeful

probably. but if bute wins the fight, he wins the WBC title. a # of good fighters have given up IBF titles which were getting in the way of a big fight - julio diaz (v WBC champ jl castillo), dawson (v glen johnson), malignaggi (v hatton), etc etc
the moral of the story: don't let the IBF fvck up a good fight

Bute's team are negotiating with Andrade's about a rematch on HBO.
If that falls down, then they will begin talking about facing up to Froch instead.

yeah still a marketable fight even if the IBF try to fornicate it up because he'll clearly be viewed as the champion by everyone.

From what I heard the IBF agreed to the unification fight as long as the winner fights Andrade next.
If the winner decides to fight Kessler for example. He will get stripped.
It think that's fair. Andrade deserves his shot.

Should be a good fight I hope they dont strip Bute for wanting a big fight that annoys me when people get punished for going after big fights

Froch Vs Andrade will be a great spectacle if Our Carly can get past Bute

that fight nearly happened once, when frohc fougth porras instead in his US debut. i think andrade had come in overweight for froch

Things look good for Carl "the gob" Froch and good luck to him. I still think Kessler will prove too much for him when that one comes off. I think he can beat Bute and Andrade though.

This is where manditories are good, if you get a shot at a vacant title you should be made to defend against someone else top draw to prove your the man at the weight (step forward Taylor], if you get a unification shot your next fight should be against the #1 it means that to unify the three big belts you need to potentially fight the six best guys out there not the three which proves your superiority.
Good for Froch 2 seriouse fights all of which have the credibility he desires and hopefully there will be money in it for the guy too.

He was over the light-heavy limit actually and i think Cristian Cruz or someone was meant to fight him but never even showed at the weigh in !
