Finchley's Del-boy gets banned and fined for biting Paul Butlin and, unless he decides to appeal (and is successful) he won't be fighting Danny Williams this season. All feedback appreciated. Flex

The bloke is a dick.

Carrying on like he's a top 10 world contender. He's beat nobody, been inactive and has the charisma of an Austin Marina and then ends up BITING a journeyman.

Just a 42 caret prat.

Give me gobby Fury or Kipling Williams any day.

His attitude is a tad strange to say the least.

There hasn't been that much hype about him, and with pretty good reason, but he seems to have bought into it.
He will get beat within his next 3 fights unless he stays at the level of Butlin and co.

Fury would beat him comfortably.

Good to hear. I honestly thought nothing was going to be done about it. Kudos to the Southern Area Council.

Well done to the Board for showing some cojones on this occasion and well done to BN for the follow up although I felt it's something Claude should have come out against in his editorial last week or at least it should have been mentioned in the news snippets as opposed to being buried away in the fight report.

It was disgraceful from Chisora.

He didn't really do any damage though.

Fighters who intentionally headbutt their opponent giving them a big cut tend to get away with it, so I don't think the board should be too harsh in this case.

It's encouraging to see the Board enforce this punishment on Chisora, but the length of ban is not long enough IMO for such a disgusting foul AND the comments he made afterwards, treating the incident like a joke.

Fighters routinely have 4 months off between fights so he'll hardly notice this ban. The fact he didn't do any damage is beside the point. Its a blatant and disgraceful intentional foul and should be punished much more severely.

I agree with your point, but it's nice this suspension affects his scheduled fight with Williams. It's a shame for Williams and for boxing fans, but it does punish Chisora even if it's just a little. Don't forget the fine incurred as well, of £2500.

Yep, they copped out with that 4 month ban and 2500 fine. Thats not in line with what happened. He should have had at least a year ban and at least a 10k fine.

Once again the board shows that its entirely in Warrens pocket after he loaned them some money a few years ago.

A one year ban would be very excessive. He was an idiot, but what he did was really not very serious, it was just distasteful.

Intentional low blows and headbutts don't often result in long suspensions, so why should this?

Intentionally biting someones ear in the ring and then laughing and joking about it afterwards is worse than an intentional butt or low blow. If you can't see that, then I think we should end the discussion.

Perhaps it is you who is not seeing that low blows and headbutts which actually cause damage to a fighter are more serious that a soft, petulant ear bite.

Only thing that is bad about this decision is that didn't punish Parris also.

He deserved to be banned and it should have been longer.

In Parris's defense he didn't see the bite happen. So couldn't DQ Chisora, it was on his blind side.
