Serious questions:

1. Why is Nigel Wright allowed this opportunity to fight for the British Title? Seems to have beaten no-one of note since his last defeat to Olusegun.
2. Why is it in Liverpool, when neither fighter is local?
3. Why is the title vacant?

Wright was an excellent amateur, went pro without any backing, has had to take a lot of fights on the road and has been harshly treated. I thought he beat McCluskey clearly and am sure he will do himself great credit in his attempt for the title. It is a far better match than most fights made for the Commonwealth title and he is a harder opponent than someone like Kell Brook has faced for the Lonsdale belt.

Perhaps Daws didn't want the fight at such short notice. Wright was meant to be fighting Morrison in an eliminator for the British title before Morrison got the title shot. So, he was in the running before hand and I don't really see anything unusual about him getting this short notice opportunity. Who else should have replaced Morrison?

McCloskey vacated the title to fight for the European belt.

Pointless fight. Wright fought decently last time and Olusegun fought averagely, but Olusegun still won quite clearly.

Wasn't Wright signed with allegedly at a point?

He's certainly disputed every career defeat he's suffered!

But no offence, Olusegun needs more than the British title and a win over Wright will give him no recognition. I know it's hard to get Ajose decent fights, but to regurgitate his career and win a vacant British title isn't what he needs right. He is world-ranked remember.

If he is the British and Commonwealth champion then he will be in a position to get decent fights on a more regular basis. Olusegun is not a particularly popular fighter, so how is he going to get decent fights without decent titles? He may be world ranked, but that doesn't mean he will get a world title shot.

I bet he gives up the British belt in 6 months. It was my understanding that he got offered a Witter fight but wanted way too much money. It's not his lack of belts that's stopping him, it's him thinking he deserves massive money when he's done very little to deserve it.

olusegun isnt even british an he his ranked in the world top 10 why the hell is he going for british when he should be fighting for bigger title he should leave is a go for bigger things let domestic fighter have a crack !!!!!!!

Nigel Wright - will be the bext British Champion he will beat Ajose on Friday revenge will be sweet as Ajose is well over rated. He took him very close last time winning the first 5 rounds then drifted away he also rocked Ajose. Nigel also beat Paul Mccloskey but once again was robbed by the judges.

One outcome WRIGHT WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wright would of won the 1st one if he didn't gas, his pressure with the jab was beating Ajose's wild flurries.

Ajose is an overrated Commonwealth level fighter.

Even a demotivated Witter would KO him early.

fancy wright to win close pnts decision ,hes had a few chances now could be his time.

Wright is a decent fighter , i think he has more thatn a chance in this one . I think the mcloskey - wright fight was close with a lot of rounds hard to score , he gave paul a good run

It wasn't shown on Sky

Why didn't they show the Coyle fight on Sky?

I can't stand the low level tosh they are showing on Sky at the moment.

They showed three fights. The Main event, a Liverpool fighter V a Polish fighter- decent fight, the Liverpool guy was clearly the better boxer from the off- Good showing from the Polish guy, who was basically an American level journeyman- tough, but technically inferior.

They also showed Truscotts comfortable comeback fight V a Russian who was tough but limited- and much shorter.

I like Truscott a lot- a quality fighter all round.

Main event was as predicted.
