I understand from a friend of mine who spoke to Graham yesterday that he has not retired and is still fighting. He is fighting in Luton, his home town, later this month. After a succession of three losses to Micheal Katsidas, Amir Khan, and Henry Castle he is back in the ring. He is also training youngsters and so I am told has three in particular under his wing and to be honest I think working with young fighters should be his aim in life now. He was pretty good as a fighter at domestic level but just not good enough at the higher levels. He is now past his best as a fighter and IMO his glory days are over. This is a local fight so his Luton fans can see him and may just be a one off. I dont know what his future plans are but I will try to find out.

earls finished even at british title level.id hate to see him get hurt which i believe will happen if he comes up against a young up and comer

Fighting at Light Welterweight

I worry for Earl more than Brodie and I worry about Brodie.

I cant see Brodie making a comeback. I think its all talk. On the subject of Graham Earl, hes daft for carrying on fighting.

If he gets hurt, then it's his own fault.

its not all talk with brodie robert hill he's in the gym at joe penningtons and looks very good and under ten stone he is on one of olivier harrison shows next month

Both Brodie and Earl should be heavily invovled in the sport but on the other side fo the ropes. As simple as that.

It is looking like a decent show in Luton on Sunday 28th June 2009 1pm at Liquid envy Nightclub in Luton. i believe tickets are onsale now and the venue is limited to 750 people so get in sharp for a ticket if you fancy it. Luke Wilton is fighting on the under card and new Pro boxer Micheal Harvey will make his Pro debut on the same show.

Anyone going drop me a pm if you fancy a drink after the event as I'll be traveling over myself for the show.

I wouldn't like to see Earl fight again and especially not at light welter where I think he will be far too small. Been in some great fights and I have really enjoyed watching him but he should focus on training fighters now. Maybe Earl fighting on this show is just to sell more tickets.

First Team (PJ Rowson & Errol Johnson) are promoting this show (theyre branching out it seems from just doing shows round the west midlands, got a show in Trowbridge soon too) and I believe Martin Gethin's on this bill too.

As someone has said I also worry very much for Earl. In his last 2 fights he looked out of it even before he climbed into the ring. An accident waiting to happen if ever there was one.
I was hoping the Board were somehow going to prevent him from fighting on but I suppose if he passes all the medicals and scans etc theres probably not alot they can do, I dont know

I think you could be right about Earl headlining to sell more tickets for the event. You are also right IMO about him training youngsters rather than fighting himself. My mate who is 5 feet 9" said how small Earl is and he also thinks Earl is too small for Welterweight. As I said before this may just be a one off rather than a campagne at Welter.

Obviously with a show in Luton he will sell plenty of tickets but him fighting at light welterweight? I think it's dangerous because against Katsidis he struggled against a more powerful and better fighter and that was the beginning of the end because he's looked shot of his former self, hes hould stick to focusing on his gym.
