I don't know if it has been posted, but Froch comes across really well.
"The next fight will probably be in September we're looking for the fifth but nothing has been set in stone yet.

"It will be Lucian Bute or Bernard Hopkins, who is an American legend. If that's the fight that can be made then that's one I'll go for.

"If it's Bute it will be in England, if it's Hopkins it will be in Las Vegas."
He's aiming for the September date because then Showtime would take it up. No matter what happens, if Froch fights Hopkins or Bute he's fantastic, and I'll really appreciate it. Even though I'm a fan of Calzaghe, it will really show the difference between their attitudes.

Kudos to Froch. :TU:

Exactly.

Joe could have Face Hopkins years ago, but chose to stay in the UK. Up until of course he was 43, where Joe's "Fear of Flying" suddenly disappeared

First chance Froch gets, he wants Hopkins in his second title defence lol

How is Froch v Hopkins a great fight? Froch was dismissing him as too old and devaluing Calzaghe's victory not too long ago. Now suddenly, it's a fantastic fight for Carl? No thanks.

Bute v Froch - now I'd like to see that and I hope Froch beats him.

he should fight his own peers, should froch.

not some old spoiler who wants to spoil every weight division.

hasn't hennessy learned from eastman-hopkins? 'spartan' hopkins tries to win low workrate tedious borefest, then gets praised by 1 or 2 writers for "pure boxing skills", his uncanny ability "to set traps" and oh, "he could have fought in any era" even if "he's no Hagler."

hopkins is a great defensive fighter but i don't know why ppl keep giving him TV dates. hopkins is so cautious he appeared to give away the first 7 rds each time vs the feared and frightening jermain taylor. that should have been it for him, a man who's become 1 of the world's most boring.

because of what Nard has done since Calzaghe, namely putting Pavlik firrmly in his box.

Absolutely - in the light of recent achievements, Hopkins is more than credible. This would be the best fight for Froch and would spread his fame beyond hard core boxing fans. It's also the fight most people pick him to lose, which is another reason for him to go for it.

No lower than 170 lbs if it happens. I bet Hopkins will make Froch go higher than that though.

Been told it will be September 5th.

Hopkins in Vegas or Bute at the O2. HBO for the former at 170-172 and Showtime for the latter.

I'd rather see Froch v Bute, two undefeated fighters in their prime and in the same weight division. Plus it's got all the makings of a classic fight(or maybe even a series of fights) as well.

i think he says he wanted David Haye if he won the title
so maybe Heavy weight is an option for him

if james Toney can do it , could we see a fat hopkins for a change

Same here. I bet almost everyone feels that way. Plus if it's Bute it will be in London!

I reckon the Bernard Hopkins Vs Froch fight is pie in the sky, I reckon it's just being used as a negotiating tactic in the Froch Vs Bute talks

Uncle Bernie has indicated that if he doesn't get this fight he will retire.

However, he uses the r word more than most.

Yeah didn't he promise his mother he'd retire at 40

Froch v Bute is the best match out there at super middle. Whoever wins is in pole position to call the shots from there onwards.
