Well done Sky.

Might have done it as a kick in the teeth to Setanta, but looks like Sky will be showing Klitchsko vs Chagaev now.

Actually seem to have picked up a little with bills scheduled for 12, 19, 20, 26, 27 (Box Office) and 30th of June!!!!

We've been critical of Sky, but lets hope this is a start.

But also... COME ON SETANTA - someone bail you out.

Was Where I read it.... ah, thought the 26th bill was looking bare.

So Haskins vs Burkinshaw aswell as Booth vs Dean on the 30th. Thats a nice little bill... or has Haskins vs Burkinshaw been scraped.

Not sure think Haskins is injured. Can't trust that schedule to say sky are showing it.

Or... let's hope Setanta doesn't go bust. Sheesh.

Sky doesn't give a crap about boxing.

Edit: the only saving grace of Haye & co being forced to find a new home, is that his fights will likely be PPV and we'll get them in HD.

I really, really doubt Wlad v Chagaev will be on sky, whether boxrec says it or not. According to the schedule, Murray v Lawton is on itv3 this Saturday.

If Sky announce it, then I'll believe it. Until then it might be on setanta, or not if they go bust.

I'd agree, perhaps they're interested in Haye and think it's worth a punt, just to keep Klitschko familiar to the casual fans.

nothing about vlad v chagaev on the sky website.

however it is listed on skytext page 443 - boxing on sky. its down for a 10pm start time.

i guess with the uncertainty over setanta they are not buying anything new at the minute and sky have nipped in and got this. lets hope that sky do start picking up more fights from abroad if the worst happens to setanta. hopefully setanta can get rescued because the more boxing that is on the better. alot would argue that sky should be showing more boxing from abroad anyway with the price of their subscriptions. although highlights a week later like last week (the berto fight) is not really good enough in this day and age although its better than nothing.

The missuss and I have had many a converstion about saving money and I agreed to knock Sky on the head and keep Setanta as boxing was more important to me than the footy and the best boxing on Setanta was within the asking price and there were no hidden extras like with Sky - a la Sky Box Office. If Sky pick up all the decent fights including Haye, Cotto et al then I bet they'll start charging ppv too. Thank www for j......tv etc

Its a shame as just as I started really getting in to Boxing, the big US fights stopped being shown. My first "all nighter" was Mayweather v DLH. I had to be in work at 8am that morning and had a cricket match that afternoon. I was fooked. After that they dried up. I remember sky had a Cotto fight on at the same time as Setanta had Tarver v Woods last year, and since then there has only been Mosley v Mayorga not on PPV. Presumably with the awful Klitschko v Ibragimov and the more fights Setanta started to broadcast, they decided US fights weren't worth it, and the cheap Friday Fight Nights were the way to go.

But with me only having sky and not setanta, if it takes Setanta going bust for Sky to show more fights, I'm all for it.

Wlad v Chag looks all set for Sky Sports then.

I dont think they will show Wlad v Chagaev on the 18th of July because PBF v JMM is on the same night live on SBO I think and they showed Berto v Urango a week later, so I would say the date is a mistake :TU:

I really hope it's on live because despite what's happened it's a decent heavyweight contest and not many matchups in the divison would beat it.
