Dawson wouldn't pull out of a fight for no reason. If he said he is sick then he must be.

Dawson has fought better guys than Raines. Geale is his only loss and that was at 160.
I have seen Dawsons last few fights close up and at 154 he looks good. He had a great fight with Welcome Ntingshla. It was one of the best fights i have seen live and Dawson was really impressive.

I agree that he didn't pull out for no reason, it is just he needs to aknowledge the level he is at and when he decides to step up and take risks TAKE THEM let those gonads down! he will improve ten fold when he can beleive in him self and not just pad his record!
He may even be able to win a "REAL WORLD TITLE" not the freebies that are going around.

When he pulled out against Geale because he wasn't ready,why did he fight that kicky boxing thing on the same night as his schedualed bout with Geale?

I've watched Raines on YouTube. Dawson wouldn't pull because of the risk involved. He'd be very confident of beating Raines.

I wonder how much jet-lag played into it? That is quite a distance Dawson had to travel.

I have had some experience as an expat in a few countries and thus have to travel a lot.

Generally, the rule-of-thumb is that it takes one day per every time zone to recuperate from jet lag.

Thus, it will take 10 days to recover from travel from a place that it 10 times zones away.

Not to mention trying to get in some quality training while recoving....

How long was Dawson in the US before he had to pull out?
