good that someone's making an effort. british boxing is getting predictable and stupid so let's have a bit of foreign colour

if tv would demand quality fights involving dangerous, exciting guys like choi, it wouldn't be such a damn waste

yeah, yeah, won't sell enough tickets for a local sports hall fight, however, surely someone could have put him in a tasty undercard fight now & again - to make the show a better package

the biggest waste for me is jackson asiku. what a fighter. even if he gets world ranked and beats a champ, the best he could probably hope for is fight once a year on king shows, go rusty and lose a close fight to someone he should piss all over. jackson KO'd gairy st clair recently, same st clair that khan - big light welter - couldn't stop. jackson is a feather/super feather.

Choi was on Bunce's Boxing Hour today. Good interview - try and catch one of the replays. Apparently, it was Spencer Fearon who called him and brought him back to the UK. I just hope he gets the opportunities without a big promoter behind him.

Well if Olusugun can fight for the British title, surely Choi is eligable now.

I did read somewhere that he had gone back to Monglia(excuse my spelling) coz his wife coudnt get a visa....
If spencer Fearon has got him back here fighting its good news, good fighter in my eyes&would beat the fighters we have here...and hopefully his Mrs will get a Visa..coz theres to many Ethnics(putting it mildly)running round my town wiv no reason to be here!!! this statement might upset a few....but hes here trying to earn a crust....

it was only a handful of rounds, no time to finish him off, it was up at super feather or lightweight, and choi is a feather

damn shame the WBU couldn't have helped him a bit. a title like that, which used to bring some extra cash to domestic fights, could once have got choi in work. obviously, WBU fights got abused & eventually TV would have no more of it. there is the right way - shea neary v scheepers, holligan micky ward; colin dunne, michael ayers and wayne rigby v each other - to have fringe title fights and there is the wrong way - light middle.

Hope he gets a good run going he is a very good boxer hope to see him in a world title fight before he retires also Lindsay might be a good fight for him doubt Lindsay would take it though he must be so hard to promote nobody would want to fight him unless they made heaps of money from it which they wont

im sure he did and a look through the archived data within the sanctioning bodies sites would confirm. think he has lost his place though due to inactivity!

Shame really, I am quite a fan of his. Is it true he was Pacman's chief sparring partner for a while?

Cmon Choi.

I think he can get a world title. Choi would smash Rocky Juarez.

He was Michael Hunter's chief sparring partner for years. They are great mates, apart from the time Hunter chased him out of his house after replying "Full English" when asked what he wanted for breakfast one morning during the week of a Hunter title fight (Mick was eating ice cubes at this stage).
