Just going to buy a ticket for the Khan fight, maybe, but seems that they don't tell you what your seat number is when buying. Whats that all about?

Is it "open seating," which would suit me perfectly, or do they only tell you your seat numbers AFTER you buy a ticket- in which case, fornicate that. Views vary massivly at the MEN, depending on where they put you and how high up you are.

its a "blind allocation" at the moment,seats will be allocated later but priority will go to those who booked first

I'm not too happy with this. If you pay money for a ticket you should know where your sitting, not just hope it's somewhere ok. Make it unreserved if that's the case.

Seat numbers are irrelevant. Tier, Block and Row the most important info needed. Lower tier the ones to have.

Yeah - by "seat number" I mean seat information- where the seat is!

don't know where you're looking, but all the ticket info required is available incl' seat numbers.

Lower tier £75 a go.

I'm not plugging my own ticket sales here, but why don't you buy them from a fighter that is on the bill, who is close to you?

No booking fee or added commission and he will know exactly what seat, row and block you're in.

Boxers NEED to sell tickets. If you don't, you don't get work


Any boxer, Khan included would be happy selling tickets. Each fighter on the bill has them

I travelled down to the MEN last time (March) in person the week or 2 before and spoke to a very helpful lad on the ticket desk.

He showed me EXACTLY the seat I should ask for when I rang up the booking line.

I ended up sitting about 15- 20 metres back from the ring - about the same height as the ring and I paid less money than those at "Ringside" a word that covers a multitude of sh*t views!

I did this cos last time I was there 5 years ago I got the tickets "blind" and ended up in the sticks. The ring looked like a postage stamp from up there.

I will be taking Smigga's advice next time however and contacting a fighter. Especially if it means you don't get added on charges.......can you believe that they actually charge YOU for taking YOUR money on a card...........if 20,000 people just said "actually, f*ck off - I don't think I should have to pay for paying" how long do you think those charges would last??

Just found out it's been switched to the MEN....I'd have gone if I wasn't going on holiday. Bollox to going down to London to watch the walsh bro's.

Is it the O2 that's in the middle of nowhere or am I getting it mixed up with Wembley?

This is a good idea. Possibly Boxrec could think about a special forum/thread where boxers can advertise when they are next fighting, and give their details for tickets etc- mobile number or e mail etc.

I'd happily buy tickets from a boxer- just don't know any personally.

I think that's a bloody good idea. If Smigga wants to start one I can sticky it.

Yeah- I'd happily buy from a boxer, especially if its cheaper!

I'm sure every boxer would be up for it. Each ticket is face value. I sell loads on facebook/website etc. People pay thru paypal with postage etc they get sent out that day.

Some fighters on the smaller shows fight for tickets alone, so you'd all be doing boxers a great favour in turn cutting out stupid booking fees.

Most fellas go the gym to pick tickets up and have a gander at the training sessions.

So for starters I have block 114 in the MEN....

Last time I went to the MEN Calzaghe was fighting and as it wasnt a sell out we got moved down a block as It was going out live on HBO and they wanted it to look full.

This bill doesnt look that good apart from khan, kell theres no others Im really bothered about seeing.

I thought a one round Kell fight on it's own would be MORE than a satisfactory night out for you lol....

They often do that- or simply don't put out seats/stands (in places like the Excel) if there havn't been enough tickets sold. Problem is, some people's seats might be the ones that havn't been put out!

In the past when I have bought tickets off one of the boxers on a show, not only do you avoid the booking fees etc, help the fighter's out by supplementing their purse but there is also the bonus that the fighters get the best blocks asigned to them - you will get a better seat than taking pot luck on ticketmaster etc..

Just if anyone hasn't seen it- there is a "sticky" post at the very top of this board now, which is about buying tickets for this show.
