wlad has only 2 punches in his arsenal....jab and right hand

so basic is unreal

no hooks no uppercuts , no feints , no combinations

jab , jab , jab , right hand...............jab , jab , jab . right hand.....jab , jab

terrible fighter but just shows how bad the heavyweight division is that hes considered the best along with his brother

I don't think he's terrible , just knows what works to win, he's expert at tying up on the inside, which stops smaller guys working on him.
He brings the ref into play quickly , without commiting obvious fouls, so hard for the ref to penalise him

Plus Wlad could of took a pansy tonight instead he took on an unbeaten guy, who is a southpaw .
now that shows something

or maybe Wlad is thinking 'there's an outside chance of getting hepititis here, so i'll keep him at the end of my jab'

Chag quits to be honest he looked spent in the 9th Klit was too p*ssy to go in for the kill, very very poor fight

Wlad seems to drain the desire out of boxers, those jabs must be alot harder than we think

Haye needs to make it a messy fight. Doesn't matter if the ref has to keep breaking them up, he has to ruffle Wlad's feathers and upset his rhythym. Get close and make him tie up, and try and land short shots on the inside. Make him ragged. If Haye stays at the end of that jab all night he'll get beaten for sure. He'll be on his arse before he can time a meaningful counter. If he stays on top of him doesn't let him get leverage on the right hand then he has a chance...

That ring looked huge tonight, got to be on the limit for size

You better get a bet on DH when they meet then, because Wlad will rightly be a big favorite to beat Haye.
Wlad has turned into a real pro over the years. As soon as Haye pulls out, he agrees to take on an unbeaten rival champ at short notice, no problem, then outclasses him.

For all his big punching bluster, I reckon DH would have been in for a short and painful evening there.

I agree......

Haye has so much more variety, power and speed, than any of Klitscko's recent opponents. I have said on another thread that it is disgusting that a guy can be the heavyweight champion of the world, with only two punches in his repetoire. All Klitschko uses is that left hand jab, followed occasionally by the right hand. It is a very sad indicment that no other heavyweight can muster enough skills to overcome a fighter as limited and predictable as Klitschko. I can't stand the bloke and i hope that the sooner he gets beaten the better. Up untill tonight i always saw the Haye - Klitschko fight as 50 - 50, but now i see it being 70 - 30 in Haye's favour, aslong as he does'nt get tagged of course. Klitschko is so open to all manner of shots and yet every heavyweight that faces him is basically more limited and dreadful than he is.

Exactly, two bloody punches in his whole repetoire and no fighter can fathom how to beat him......unreal

In all honesty, i have got more entertainment and seen more skill from recent domestic match ups

Absolutely disgusting that Klitschko is the heavyweight champion of the world......Unbelievable

Is it just me or did Chagaev seem to slip Wlad's jab with ease tonight? There was loads of times where I thought he'd slipped it and would move inside and do something, anything, with his left. But most of the time he just stayed static and tried some lame potshot to the body, or did nothing.

I see haye slipping that jab and unloading a ton of dynamite with his left, right on Wlad's chin. like someone else said - before this fight I thought haye was 50-50, now I see it in his favour. There is definitely something there for Haye to exploit.

Haye was hardly that quick and slick against Monte Barrett.

Haye was sloppy and awful that night.

I think Wlad will be able to take Haye out, but I think it could be fun fight while it lasts.

Be interesting to see if Haye finally picks up his left hand against Wlad, otherwise there's almost not point in turning up.

Haye should of just went forward against Barrett with a high guard like he did against that Pole. Him and Barrett were slipping over constantly and Haye was keeping back too cautios and dancing with a low guard.

Must have been watching a different fight from myself my friend. From what I could see Chagaev ate the jab all night. So much so he looked confused and tentative and hardly got anything off himself.
Haye's chance has always been to detonate one on Wlad early but thats the plan of just about everyone who gets in there and no one in a long time has pulled it off.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say he barely took a shot - but he did slip it on numerous occasions and never capitalised or took the chance to apply any pressure at all. I got to the point where I was thinking 'why don't you just try hitting him and see what happens?' You might at least look like you;ve gone down fighting.

Wlad's jab is an odd thing really, its almost a amateur style of throwing it, keeps the left arm extended , then throws the jab from about that. It doesn't look like it should do much damage, but obviously it does. Chagaev walked through anything Skelton threw at him during their fight, but he couldn't take Wlads jab last night, strange

I'm no fan of Wlad, but he makes his opponents look dreadfull. he's beaten alot if guys that know how to box, punch etc , but for some reason he can make them into drones just following him around the ring whilst he does what he wants.
