Who we got in this one, must confess, seen little of Burkinshaw but he looks to have it all to do if Haskins turns up fit and ready and free from injury.

I know his team come on here sometimes, be interested to know how he is doing, assume he must be confident in this defence.

Anybody got much on Burkinshaw, can see by his record he certainly has ability but has this come a bit early for him.

It's a decent fight- hope that it goes ahead as planned!

At this weight, chancer do come quite quickly.

Its an odd choice of main event, given the location (Sunderland) but I assume that they will be selling tickts based on Jeffries and Sutherland being on the bill together.

Burkinshaw is a soldier- and he is well supported. However, without local support for either champion or challenger, it might be a little quiet.

Will be a very good fight if it goes ahead not sure how it will go but i see it being close either way

Thanks for those, he clearly has ability and fights at a decent pace, although it was only 2 short videos, I thought personally he took a few too many in the Robinson fight although he took them well enough, Haskins has decent power for a small man.

Still have to favour Haskins but its not a bad little fight to be fair.

Any news on either man here, has Haskins got too much for Burkinshaw is the main question I guess.

Is Haskins still with the Bristol boys or has he moved from there?

Looking forward to it to be honest, be interesting to see if Haskins has the power to stop Burkinshaw or will he run out of ideas if all does not go as planned.

I'm desperate for Ross to do this not just for himself, but for Glyn Rhodes.
Ross doesn't need "local" support.
He'll get a decent following for this one.

Been brought along well locally without much fuss but has a lot of support in sheffield and has been brought up by glyn.
Haskins leaves plenty of holes in his attempt to do the 'Naz', and Ross is sharp and clever enough to do a number on him.

Gonna be a good night for Ross The Boss.

There are no competetive looking fights on the undercard either. Another poor domestic show from Sky.

Hearns was still fighting when hatton turned pro so i guess so lol

Spoke to John Fewkes at the weekend and he says that Ross has been hitting harder than ever in sparring for this one.

This said, it's a Lee Haskins fight so get ready to watch a mess.

Yeah, I thought the lad Haskins was going to be a breath of fresh air when I first saw him but he's turned into a very unentertaining, scrappy fighter to watch.

Ross has lots of heart but gets hit a bit too often for me.

Its a poor main event imo, nothing against both boxers. Haskins isn't the best to watch is he, thats not his fault and he's good at what he does.

Just makes me wander we get this main event next week yet in 2 weeks from the same promoter we get Jamie Moore defending his Euro belt and Gary Davis Vs Ian Napa for the British on the same FFN. I would've rather have seen Davis Napa as a main event and tonights fight on with Moore's fight, maybe scheduling didn't permit, it does seem however though that as long as Maloney gets Jeffries or Sutherland n the bill he can get away with some poor main events.

As for the fight, haven't seen much of Burkinshaw, Haskins to spoil and win a UD.

As i said in an earlier thread, it's great that Maloney is doing these shows in the north east after years of no professional boxing whatsoever, but Haskins v Burkinshaw as a main event is very, very poor. It's the kind of fight you wouldn't even expect as chief support on your average tv bill. In addition, it's the only competitive fight of the whole night.

I am generally a fan of Maloney and his shows, but i just hope the fact that they are selling out in a day or two on the back of Jeffries' success isn't going to result in a card full of 'local fighter vs TBA' every time.
