oh he slipped no doubt...but because he got copped a hit to the head! = knock down.

From my viewpoint he went to step off on his right foot and slipped. And it seemed to be a split second after you'd expect a KD to happen after a punch

Having (now) seen it - I think that Mundine went down from a combination of the punch and the slip. He certainly slipped, no doubt, but whether he would have stayed on his feet if it weren't from the punch, I don't know. I can't say which way I'd have ruled it were I the ref, but I lean towards a slip, not a KD.
