Time to wrap it up, stick a fork in them they're done.

I've been loyal to Setanta as long as is possible, but they're going down with the Albion! If they haven't got any decent boxing lined up then it's gonna be time for me to pull the plug on them


Oh well it was fun whilst it lasted, but it's a very difficult market to break into considering Skys dominance, experience and foothold.

Setanta should turn it into a boxing channel to see if that's viable

I can see espn charging a tenner just for premier league. They only got 46 games for one year then back to 23. How does having more than one provider fo football benefit the consumer. Least Setanta came free with Virgin.

I've left today. Feel very sad, but £12.99 for Tony Quigley v Brian Magee in the next month is nearly as bad as box office for Khan v Fagan and I didn't pay for that, and though I love the Buncey show and HATE Sky, £12.99 buys a lot of lollipops in our house.

The nail in the coffin, and one I couldn't understand, is why Setanta didn't pick up Klitschko v Chagaev....was dumbstruck to tune in Saturday night and discover it was on the dark side.

I was offered a very strange deal when I tried to cancel.

The guy said if I cancelled then I would have to pay this months fee (fair enough) of £12.99. If I stayed on then I would get this month for free and the next two months for £5 each. So it was cheaper for me to continue subscribing for the next three months and wait for it to go bust rather than cancel.

I assume they are just desperate to keep any subscribers they have to look like a better proposition for any potential last minute buyers

I fail to see how they'll pursue payments. I last paid on the 10th. By cancelling today thats 18 days notice before the next payment. I believe you pay in advance, so the mythical staying on til the next payment and then 30 days after that is nonsense. As they'll discover when the DD fails on them.

I'm expecting the phone call later, I feel bad, but it isn't up to scratch for £12.99 - I hope some of its better people get work elsewhere. Andy, etc.

I did the same and got the same deal. I'll call them again in a couple of months to ensure I dont go back to £13.

For a tenner a month I want at least one fight a week - be that domestic or international.

I hope we now get FnF live or tape delayed, but at a decent time and on a regular slot.

Also isn't Bunce's show on Setanta News? So even if you cancel Setanta you will still get that as it comes free with Sky as far as I know. I know it seems a bit harsh, but we just aren't getting value for money from the channels at the moment. I'm not bothered about the football but the boxing just isn't on offer at the moment either.
