The Moorer incident was Teddy Atlas, I seem to recall.

An exasperated Neil Holland after trying numerous times to tell a young Scott Lawton not to mix it early in his career was good stuff. Scott just couldn't resist it and, as Neil foresaw, got shaken. Neil - one of the nicest blokes going - finally lost his rag, slapped him and said something like, "Now listen to me you little wanker!" Fortunately for Scott, he did.

I seem to remember Big Clifton Mitchell slapping Bigger Carl Baker round the chops far harder than he got hit during the fight.

Probably the maddest I've seen Brendan in the corner was, I think, in Leeds with his somewhat inconsistent charge Lee Noble. Can't remember who he was boxing now but it was no one Noble couldn't have beaten had he actually put his mind to it. He just didn't want to fight - Brendan went mental and said if it continued he'd never work with him again. I'm almost sure he even called him cowardly. I thought he was going to fecking explode.

'somewhat inconsistent' i think that is doing Lightning Lee Noble a favour, or is masterly understatement maybe good fighter on his night though

Can't remember who it was but it was a good few years ago when an American heavyweight came back to the corner after taking a right battering during the previous round and the cornerman worked hard for the minute break and as he put the gumshield back in to send his charge back out he said.

"He ain't laid a glove on you son, keep it going"

The heavy breathing marked up fighter looked at his cornerman and said

"keep an eye on that f****g ref then cause some bugger's hitting me"

Was one of those journeyman american heavies if memory serves from the 80's

Always found that a cracking piece of corner history

I think it was Timor vs. Brock, Timor's cornerman said something to the effect of:

"If you do that sh/it again next round, when you come back, nobody will be here."

That Timor Ihragimov-Calvin Brock one was good. I think it was Miguel Garcia (?) in the corner. He stayed the tedious 12 rounds and Timor lost widely.

Not really a hilarious one but I think it was Michael Marsden in Paul Truscott's corner, when Truscott came back at the end of the round the first thing Marsden said in full voice in front of the SKY cameras was: "You've got to start hitting this c**t Paul."

Cue the usual "Apologies for the language but tensions are running high in the corner" spiel from Adam Smith .
