Didn't Hughes pull out 2 days ago ? Only 3 days to go,i think martin would be happy to fight anybody to get back in the ring again.Chris Riley is a feather-weight ,right ?

I noticed another strange match up Graham Earl v Karl Taylor. Karl normally takes on debutants. Any thoughts ?

Yeah Riley is a late replacement, Martin was on the other day to confirm it.

A late replacement cant be helped, but i do agree wiv wot ur saying how can they put him in wiv a former British champion, even tho the bloke is quite a bit heavier....
I bet Martin isnt really chuffed either, but he can only fight whos put in front of him,he had Heaganey pull out last time,so i bet hes dying to get back in the ring....

Very much a "getting back into it" fight. Be interesting to see how Taylor goes about this- he might chance it , and go for a knockout. However, given that Earl no doubt can still bang a bit too, I'm sure Taylor will go for his usual defensive gameplan, and see the bell after losing every round.

I understand what people are saying, Hughes pulled out and there aint that many Bantam weights in the Country.. The same thing happened to me when Booth vs Moran, went all the way up there to find out i was'nt boxing... I just want to fight to get back in the mix i aint the Match maker..

Thats right Martin,You Anit the match maker but this is not a bad come back fight considering Riler is a feather-weight.Now that you with CJ (New Trainer) and back to your old Club (St Prancras) things will start to look up for you, starting with a win on tuesday and on the road to reclaiming the British Title.

Good Luck on Tuesday Cuz. :TU:

because if gary beats napa then his next defence he keeps the belt martin wins it 1 more time he wins the belt so it would be a battle to keep the lonsdale belt thats y ok

Gary needs to defend it 3 times to win it out right, Napa would only be his 1st..

I don't see a problem with Power's opponent considering that Power has lost his last four fights.

I think it would be a good idea to fight a slightly better opponent afterwards before going for the British title again, but that probably won't happen.

You have to win it then defend it three times one of which has to be a mandatory to win it outright.

Or win a british title fight at the same weight 4 times. In other words, a boxer could win the title, lose it in his first defence, regain it, lose it again, win it again, lose it again, and then win it back. That would equal four title wins. I think this is correct. Up until about 2000, a fighter needed to win 3 british title fights at the same weight to with the lonsdale belt outright.

intresting as to how to keep the belt, but my point to lee was after davies beat power so comprehensively last time (i know power had been out for some time) why would this be a brillient match up does he think power underperformd last time and could beat davies
