Prospect watch

Who is Australias best prospects?
I thought that Willie Kickett and Kerry Foley were future champions(they still can be) but have been beaten by people who they really should have won against and failed in the opportunitys given to them.
If i was asked at the beginning of last year who i thought was our brightest prospect, I would have said Zappa, cool willie and Kerry Foley.
If i was asked now and was asked to answer with absolute confidence, i would say; Zappa, Geale and Omotoso.
Who else is there to look out for?
Note; No DICKHEAD comments from the motherland, you've been warned.

Some of the main stream media called Sonny Bill Williams a "prospect"

Omatoso is definitely a prospect. 13-0 with 11 KOs is a great start.
Mohammed Elomar has to be considered after flattening Kickett.

Yeah he's facing his toughest challenge in august against Damien Frias a 16-1 from Cuba, should be a good scrap, i hope the fight go's through.

jarrod fletcher is the best amateur to turn pro that i,ve seen for a long time, first up, was avery good display, has a good kit of punches ,needs to tighten his defence, main thing steer him along gently but give him opponents that will test him, make him dig deep, no cab drivers, all the best

Yeah i do agree on Fletcher. another one to keep following is Mark Demori, at 27 years old 15(13)-1 record already with Don King, he has fought quite a bit outside Aus and his chin has held up, he does have good skills as well, maybe something big is coming up for Mark soon.

King Davidson is a very good shout out. He does seem to have the goods. A mate of mine told me to keep an eye on him after his first couple of fights.

Couldn't argue with any of those, i haven't seen Mundraby fight, but all reports say he has talent.

Gotta mention my mate, Robbie Bryant, although he was most recently unlucky to lose a split decision to Frank LoPorto. He needs to fight over east, though, and fight more often.
Also needing to fight more often, but a lot more naturally gifted than Bryant is Andrew Green. He's fought twice at around 80kg, both times winning by first round KO. He's only 25 and could potentially be a force at LHW or Cruiserweight.

Devo Frias is a heck of a fighter. I have been to several of his fights and I am good friends with his manager Si. He was supposed 2 fight for the WBC Latino title earlier this yr on ESPN but contractual issues came up a cpl weeks before the fight and it was canceled. Devo was born in Cuba..but is not a Cuban am boxer..he grew up in Miami and is currently trained by former world champion John David Jackson, who also trains Nate Campbell, Allan Green, and Randall Bailey. I hope Frias impresses you guys and comes back from Australia with the W. Looking forward tho to a great fight.

I hope that fight is televised on one HD/FOX, a fight like this doesn't happen to often here.
Have you seen Omotoso fight southernmostfightfan?
Please let this fight happen.

I don't usually rate fighters before seeing them, But Paul Fleming is already with Top rank, and a former olympian.

I have only watched clips of Omotoso from youtube...It is becoming now or never for Devo..He isnt getting any younger..the past cpl yrs he has been fairly inactive, and when he has stepped into the ring, it has been against solid journeyman, but no one who is going to push him into a better fighter. He really needs a test like this one. This is a good crossroads fight.
