Article below.....For me its a very worthy fight. Green has a massive trap, but has some profile and does punch hard. A win over him would give Carl's profile another boost in the US, and this fight looks like it could happen in Notts which'd be a bonus. Froch by KO in a good un.

American boxer Allan Green, 29, has renewed his calls for a contest with Carl Froch. Green, who came to prominence when knocking out Jaidon Codrington in a single round back in 2005, told the Daily Mail that he will come to Nottingham, Froch’s hometown, and wrest the WBC super-middleweight title from Froch’s grasp.

“I'm willing to go to his backyard, knock him out, then go back to Nottingham for an immediate rematch and knock him out again to make an example out of him,” said Green. “It's only going to be a short amount of time before I'm the sultan of the super middleweights. I have a lot of respect for Froch and his skills, but he doesn't go more than six rounds with me,” added the confident American boxer.

Froch is due to defend his title in October, with promoter Mick Hennessey stating that the venue will be dictated by the opponent. Green, who defeated Carlos De Leon Junior in two rounds last time out, is a renowned trash talker, and would not be shy in hyping the bout.

Carl’s last-gasp victory over Jermain Taylor in April has made him a commodity in world boxing terms, a fight against Green, whose sole loss came against Edison Miranda, would unite two solid hitters in a fight to the finish. Plus, the pre-fight pressers would see plenty of verbal fireworks.

Froch, 31, has had back-to-back FOTY candidates against quality opposition. He won his title with a points victory over Jean Pascal, current WBC light-heavyweight boss, before knocking out Taylor with 14-seconds remaining in their bout, Showtime picked that one up in the US, it was snubbed by UK broadcasters.

Carl hopes to completely crack the US TV market; despite his do-or-die attitude the likes of HBO would probably commission Dawson-Tarver III before going with the Englishman, so he may have to approach Showtime once again.

However, a fight with Green, who is favored by the US TV networks, would whet the appetite of boxing fans, and may even tempt a UK broadcaster into airing a Froch title defence, one can but hope.

yeah if he's willing to come over let's have it. green obviously feels the need for a gamble and it's another risky title defence + a nice clash of styles. will green see it through though? he was set to challenge bute and seemed to change his mind.

next mandatory ward seems to be hesitating; big fights appear doubtful. bring on allan green, who showed promise on the froch-taylor undercard with stoppage of de leon jr.

A very dangerous fight for Froch if he chooses to take it- the sort that could even end in a first or second round KO if he isn't careful because Green can be so explosive in those opening rounds.

But I still think Froch can do the biz, Green has shown serious vulnerabilities in the past and he doesn't like sustained pressure.
