gareth can't have been thrilled :-?

in fairness to winky wilton who this result doesn't look good for, i am sure he had already fought Delroy twice, it can't be easy to motivate yourself fighting in that situation....

congrats to delroy,is he to carry on? hope so

only stopped a handful of times aswell.A lot of the smaller guys in britain would have found it nearly impossible to get bouts if it wasnt for delroy spencer

Nesbitt reached 100 on the same show, losing over four to Martin Gethin.

Can whack when he wants to, Jason.

Sad to hear that Winky lost, even if he may have been going to through the motions by facing the same opponent for the third time. When Wilton KO'd his opponent in the first round back in Letterkenny 2008 there was high hopes for him getting to British title level, but it's hard for the lower weight guys to keep active and protect a record.

He may be the next Colin Moffett and hopefully with a bit of plugging away can still make something of himself. Nice fella Luke.

CP I was feckin gutted that we even got Delroy again as an opponent. I was menat to be at the fights but the wife is back in hospital and still having serious complications this time.

Luke wasn't pleased at Delroy again but at that weight a fight is a fight. We also had a Pro Debut (Micheal Harvey ) on the bill aswell that got stopped after having his opponent on the floor twice.

Wilton and Harvey both need fights but they are hard to get here unless we buy in opponents for shows that cost us cash. When we tend to fight on other shows we get stiffed. Luke only found out on Friday that he was to fight delroy again so couldnt train for a set opponent. It is a loss on his record but hey he is still 2-1 up on Del. Luke did say that he hoped Del had come to win and not just for a purse fee. I aint seen the DVD yet but have ben told by a few that it was a close fight and either could have won it. Flying to Luton at 6am for a fight at 1pm doesnt help either of our boxers, but thats what happens when your based in Ireland. Also the weight was set quite high at 8st5 on the day for this bout, Luke is looking for fights at 8st not any higher really. But as i said before a fight is a fight and these guys both need to learn.

Delroy will fight Luke again but next time we will know the opponent and make sure to correct this record. Luke must be doing something right if Usman will not accept a rematch.

That is amazing. I grew up in an era when it was Ray Fallone, Ray Fallone and Ray Fallone.

Michael Harvey is a nice young fellow too and sad to hear he got stopped on the card but hopefully he can rebound and improve into a solid pro.
