Bute is fighting Andrade in September. So who next?

Arum stated on ESPN a few weeks ago that Pavlik will be fighting Strum or Froch next.

To be manouvered to fight muppets... nah... as WBC champion he'll get the fights. Saying that, would it be such a bad thing for him to get an "easy" fight after Pascal and Taylor though?

Easy fights after he's a "name" imo.

With the current state of TV that's gonna be even harder.

Green's not a bad shout. Or Jacobs or Ward.

Needs to fight in this country next for armchairs.

Ditch Hennessy, ditch Britain and go to the US, the big fights will come thick and fast then because the opponents would have no excuses to avoid him.

Next fight should accept Greens challenge or fight Ward.

if he isnt a name after KOing Jermain taylor in Taylors backyard, well, what does he have to do? Certainarly Green jacobs and Ward wont raise his profile.

I heard he was signing with a German promoter, I presume Sauerland as that's where Mads Larsen went. A fight between the two of them at the big football stadium in Copenhagen would be a very big deal.

Is a Hopkins fight still an option?

Green, Hopkins or Bute = october.

he needs to keep away from Hopkins... unless he is gettin paid mega money... which i doubt with no TV

Rumour is that Bute v Andrade will be the main undercard fight for Marquez v Mayweather.

To be fair emerson, his whole career has been on TV... yet still nobody takes notice.

Looking at his last eleven fights, nine have been broadcast in the UK at prime time. One (Taylor) on tape delay and Porras was on HBO, but was it also on setanta or equivalent live?

Taylor – fight on delay
Pacal – Live ITV prime time
Rybacki – Live ITV prime time
Reid, tatevosyan, Dodson, Magee, Westerman, Groenwald – Live Sky sports prime time
Barney – Live ITV prime time
Porras – Setanta (was it) & HBO

I don’t think Froch is going to become anymore of a name after ward Jacobs and green than he already is, they’re nobodies when it comes to “the casual”, literally nobodies. My comment on an “easy” fight was more for his career longevity than anything, plus, if it’s the armchair fan he wants to look good for he’d be far better with a Tateosyan type performance. In to the army band drumming, “super-whack” fantastic looking KO, out as champion. Home in time for tea.

I believe the next mandatory Ward will go for WBO title, after some sort of elim.

Hopkins = HBO, and Froch owes a fight to Showtime.

Froch and Green both scored KOs on same card, Green says he'll travel.

Good 2nd defence.

allan green would make sense if he can't land a high profile one.

it's a winnable fight and he fought on the froch-taylor undercard.

plus green has a bit of a mouth on him.

seems perfect for a nottingham homecoming.

Given the situation with ITV... I would now say an relatively easy name(ish) opponent that will make prime time (UK time) Saturday night viewing on ITV1.

Maybe even Brian Magee.

Something that isn't necessarily wanted by US TV, show it can be showcased on ITV... before they bow out and Froch can talk to Sky (Box office) with some evidence of some excellent viewing figures.

IF US TV want to show it on delayed.. then bonus.

Not many of "Meaty Micks" lads move on elsewhere - and if one of the original lads from when Hennessy started were to do so - I would be majorly surprised!!!

With all that said - What Hennessy does next with regards to his promotional company must be a major concern!!! - Froch will want major coverage as will Hennessy if he is to ever get UK coverage - I cannot see this being too much of a problem after Froch's win against Taylor but think it will be on PPV.

I keep saying it on other threads - a few promoters are waiting anxiously to see what ESPN do with regards to what they want on their new UK channel which will open soon.

Green definitely, very winnable.....then Pavlik or Bute v andrade winner.......should aim for Kessler next year

What about Sakio Bika? He won the Contender so is a name in the States but is very beatable.

Plus we all know how Froch likes to compare himself to Joe and Joe couldn't stop Bika so lets see if Froch can

Froch should shut Green's mouth. He'll bash him up bigtime, Green is frail and doesn't hit as hard as he thinks.

I agree and in the current financial climate with the lack of TV etc etc - it might be a fight that Meaty Mick could make fairly quickly - but to get him on Sky PPV it might need a name - does Green fit that bill?

Carl Froch is nowhere near a PPV fighter. Sky wouldn't put him on as a PPV headliner for at least 3 fights.
