I know its premature, but how are the going to run this?

No less than 7 of the bouts all could be possible "TV bouts." Presumably the Olympians will be the warm-up bouts, with Small-Hall as the main support, with Kelly Brooks fight presumably on TV, with Enzo's being a possibility.

Not exactly obvious thought what goes where on the card.

Boxrec don't even have up that Smith or Vassell are on the card. Who are they fighting?

Interesting choice to have the Olympians as the main TV support, even over Brook and Enzo.

Presumably the Small Hall fight opens the TV coverage?

If all these fights go ahead it's a fantastic card.

Its pissing me off that the olympic fighters are getting TV time over what are some great domestic fights (not just this card)

On that evidence I wont be buying the Pay-Per-View and will just watch in the pub or somewhere.

I hope the brook fight is on tv and not just the highlights?

Sky's UK PPV's have been poorly presented of late, even good bills like this. I'm guessing the Olympians will be live as will Khan and depending on the finish will show some fights as highlights.

Yet the countdown shows will showcase these fights.

To be fair why cant Sky start the show earlier?

They have a whole other english show when they do a PPV from the states which usually runs from around 9pm-4am so why cant they start at say 7 or 6? I cant see why it would affect them negatively, its not like they have scheduling problems as its a PPV, they already have camera's there filming so no extra cost there. Sure people may say thats too many hours of boxing people may get bored etc, but the more casual fans will just switch on for the Khan fight, most casual fans I know who buy Hatton PPV's etc never even know there's an english leg to the PPV and usually just come home after the pub around 12-2am and put the PPV on then.

One of my main gripes with Sky is that they always cater to the casual fans instead of hardcore fans, hence why theyre showing the olympians instead of some quality domestic match ups.

Im led to believe all the major fights will be show live..The show runs for about 4/5 hours don't it??

i should think they will show the brook fight if he wins he will get the belt outright D

I dunno I think it's part of watching much-heralded prospects, the early 'gimmies' and pushovers - looking for even the slightest chink in their armour or potential outstanding positive attributes - and wait for them to slowly start to step it up.

However as we know with their promoter this 'stepping it up' bit can be an exceptionally frustrating process and often non-event and you feel a little cheated a few years down the line.

Well if you want to see ALL the fights then BUY a ticket. Everyone moans about PPV and fights that won't be shown the alturnative is to watch events live, like a real fight fan does!

To be fair though we already pay for fights through our subscription fee, when we're paying an additional £15 it would be nice for Sky to show them all live. They're there recording anyway.

Appreciate what you're saying about going live, but not everyone can afford to travel up / down to manchester, pay £100 for a ticket another £100 on food / beer for the day / night then another £100 for a hotel etc...

I dont think it makes you anymore / less of a fan if you go live or not. Ive been to many many events live, and many more Ive watched on TV. Ive met people in fights who think John Murray is the brother of the tennis player and speak about a fictional Amir Khan Chris Eubank fight.

I go to many live fights mate atleast 2/3 shows per month, but prefer to go to all the local shows I'd rather back the local promoters than the likes of Warren and also I cant afford to be travelling up and down the country every weekend and have other interests in life that drain my income too!

My main quip isn't that theyre not showing all the fights (although this in itself is not unreasonable when you consider the last pay-per-view I got most of the sunderland bill + a good chunk of the Hatton/Pacman bill), it is that theyre showing the olympians in 4 rounders at the expense of some quality domestic fights just to cater for the casual fans appetite.

Thats not the point though, is it?

I've nothing against the Olympians, but from a TV viewers point of view, are they more of a draw than the other fights?

To quote Spud 'bollocks!' either extend the ppv duration to let the paying viewer see the fights they are paying through the nose for, or make the 'dark' prelims available on your web site. 12-15 marathon shows are designed to suit the promoter and his needs NOT the paying punter.

its ppv so there isn't a situation where they need to avoid clashing schedules. just put the lot on

I thought thats what was happening anyway, it makes it worth the 15 quid that way.
