Mike Hatwell is a good prospect. I wonder how he would go in a fight with Robbie Bryant? Right now I'm not sure that's a good option for either fight, though. Both ways it is a big risk for somewhat minimal reward.

Australian Boxing would be the winner. Lets get it on channel one!

After a year off Hatwell shouldnt be put in with Bryant in his first fight back.
Bryant is a Middleweight and Hatwell is a Jnr Middle who has weighed in just above Welter a few times. At 22 Hatwell is a great prosept and hopefully he can get some fights in the eastern states.
I don't fancy his prospects though, Most promoters don't want to test there Fighters they would rather fight a 10-5-1 Asian than Fight someone with talent like Mike.

I agree Ben, but it's normally asians with records like 6-15-2, there are still Australians(no names mentioned)with records of 16-3,19-0 ect fighting these asians who haven't won there last 10 fights.
The Bohol gym is certainly the most busiest gym with a lot of there fighters appearing on Aus TV more than most Aus boxers.

THEY FOUGHT ONCE AS ROBBIES LAST AMATURE BOUT, MIKE GOT THE POINTS, BUT I DOUBT THATS AN OPTION.
WE'LL HOPE THERE IS SOMETHING TO COME FOR HIM AND THE PEOPLE WHO'D LIKE TO SEE HIM FIGHTING.

Good stuff Colin.
Mike is a great talent. Ive watched him a few times as an Amature here in Perth and i started doing trial cards for Judging at his last Pro fight here. He has a lot of talent and could do really well if you could get him fights.

The kid has had only five prelim fights and has not fought in over a year. Best not to rush him.

I have to agree that Hatwell should not fight Bryant at this point, way too big a step-up after a 1 yr layoff.

Ben, Robbie is seriously NOT a middleweight. He may be ranked at that weight, but he has weighed under the 154lb limit for 4 of his 9 pro fights and has never come in over 157.5lb. He fought most of his amateur career at 69kg, only rarely fighting at 75kg to get some competition. He walks around at about 72-73kg, making him much smaller than most middleweights, who are usually nearer 76kg.
I've said it before - if Robbie wants to challenge for a title, he should do it at Light Middleweight, a weight he can make relatively easily and not find himself up against bigger, more powerful opposition.

I ju realised that mate, Robbie is very well put together. If he can make 154 easily then he should fight there as at that weight he will have a big power edge over most guys in Aus.

It's a shame that guys like Robbie and Michael aren't active enough.
Is it management, or other fighters or is it just there location?

IF EVERYONE POSTING KEEPS ASKING WHY WE MAY SEE THESE GUYS GETTING MORE ACTIVE.
THE LOCATION IS A PROBLEM BUT MIKE WILL TRAVELL IF ITS THE RIGHT OPTION.
PS I know where the keys are lol
JEZZ IS AT 72 AND READY TO GO SO THERE COULD BE A MATCH UP THERE

Perth have great talent, but the Greens of boxing had to relocate to become champ.
Maybe it's the only option.

We really need more cards here, There are a lot of good young fighters that need fights. There are also a few older guys that still want to fight also.
Justin Footit is having a card at the end of this month and hopefully its a success. Then we might see some regular cards and these guys can get fights.
