amir khan makes me sick

look i will not be buying this ppv crap on saturday night...why??
amir khan is a fraud , total hype
*he hasnt beaten anyone in the top 15-20
*his whole career has been made to avoid anyone with a punch - except prescott
*his whole career has been made to fight guys much physically smaller than him - except prescott
*before that famous minute vs prescott , the deluded one thought that he deserved to fight pacquaio
*ricky hatton was his best friend and he didnt want to fight him , why the change after the hatton/pacquaio fight???
*why no rematch with prescott??? , why no thaxton fight???
*why is khan already talking about ditching the WBA title if he wins it?? - see his next mandatory fight = a guy with a punch
im sorry but allegedly know amir has no chin at all , thats the reason he has been fighting much smaller and older guys
to top it off khan is fighting for the WBA title , who exactly is the real champion?? , how many fake champions do the WBA make for each weight??
ive always said that khan was no better than audley harrison , at least audley wanted to fight the best in the uk and guys with a punch.
amir khan has fought 1 guy in the top 20...he lasted 60 secs.........facts do not lie

*he hasnt beaten anyone in the top 15-20
Actually Barrera was a top10 LW and deserved the nod over Marquez
*his whole career has been made to avoid anyone with a punch - except prescott
He's a prospect, so what, how many punchers had Hatton faced as a 21yo?
*his whole career has been made to fight guys much physically smaller than him - except prescott
He's a prospect, so what, hes facing someone his own size now
*before that famous minute vs prescott , the deluded one thought that he deserved to fight pacquaio
As did Valero, everyone wants that fight
*ricky hatton was his best friend and he didnt want to fight him , why the change after the hatton/pacquaio fight???
Boxing is a business and they were hardly close friends
*why no rematch with prescott??? , why no thaxton fight???
Maybe it will happen down the line, but probably to get his confidence back? Thaxton actually turned down a career high payday to face Amir fyi
*why is khan already talking about ditching the WBA title if he wins it?? - see his next mandatory fight = a guy with a punch

I would buy the ppv for small - hall alone. Its actually a decent card for once. All 3 fights are 50-50 fights imo. Khan will answer most of your facts if he wins on saturday.

So wins over 25-19 Sammy Ventura and 1-7 Freudis Rojas make/made him a top ten lightweight?
How silly are you?

clutching at straws mate
he has been a pro for nearly 5 years
barrera is shot if you dont know that then you are in the wrong sport and he aint no lightweight ffs
a prospect needs tested , khan has never been tested vs a good decent world fighter in the top 20
khan has no chin and has been matched more carefully than joe calzaghes firts 8 years as a wbo champion
boxing is dying , the way guys are being brought on is shameless , its all about the ££££
to be the best you need to beat the best.....khan cannot even start to say this
prescott does him in a round again
hatton does him in under 4
he cant grow muscles on his chin

Would you give him more respect if he beats Kotelnik?
I mean Kotelnik is no mug, robbed twice against M'Baye, ran Witter close and took everything Junior threw at him, stood up well to Maidanas bombs.

Massive kudos to Mr. Khan if he wins. This fight is no gimme at all.

if khan beats kotelink , its amirs best win of his career....no doubt about it
if he keeps the WBA title then he wont last long as they will demand he fights the guy who kayoed ortiz
i thought a boxer worked his way up the ratings , steadily beating higher ranked opponents untill he was a world ranked fighter???
khan as mentioned has not beat a top 20 fighter
he has been manufactured to this position - the work of warren and his avoiding punchers management style

Most fighters are brought through like that nowadays though, take a look at Floyd Jr's record before he won the WBC super featherweight title, he fought absolutely nobody of any major significance.
Promoters seem to manufacture fighters and then throw them in the deep end and see if they sink or swim.

I think so too, as long as it's not a silly stoppage like Calzaghe-Manfredo, then it's a really good win.

This is why I think Kotelnik takes this fight in the end - convincingly.
That level of form is world level - he is a solid and consistent and proven world operator.
Khan is a hype job - with talent and fast hands - but also very bad weaknesses - his chin and delusion being the obvious ones.
Khan has yet to prove he belongs in the same ring as Kotelnik - its because he has a promoter that has pulled the strings he has got this fight.
However that being said - at least Khan is a challenger who is bringing ambtion and talent to a world title challenge.
There have been alot worse challengers to world titles - like Bobby Gunn.
I'm glad this fight is taking place - because this is a true test for Khan.
And without slagging Khan off or anything - I think he will lose - just because I think Kotelnik will prove to good.
I see Kotelnik coming from behind and wearing down Khan and hurting him and stopping him in the later rounds.
Kotelnik stopped Gavin Rees - and while Rees is a limited fighter - Rees is a very tough little bugger - and Kotelnik broke him in the end.
I think Khan is very beatable and his main hope of victory is having the referee on his side to step in for a controvsial stoppage after he lands a pitty patter flurry on Kotelnik.
If Khan wins this fight fair and square I will give him proper credit - as it would be a proper good win.
Its a real test.
But I go for Kotelnik TKO win.

If it ends like that I might throw my TV out of the window. Coming on here and seeing people like Lurkyshaker and Phenomenal Nutrition invariably describing Khan's performance as a masterclass may well be enough to make me quit boxrec.
I'm going to cringe every time Khan has Kotelnik in the corner and is slapping away at him.

like a few people have already mentioned its a make or break fight for kahn and i actually respect him for taking it.All the negative whats happened in his career so far will quickly be forgotten if he beats kotelnik convincingly,if he loses however then a lot of people on this forum will be extremely happy.
AS for the WBA belt, even though i hate the alphabet boys,i really dont like to see fighters relinquish after one fight
i must say comparing kahn to audley harrison is very harsh at least amir kahn is positive, exciting and has bottle

i said it in another thread as long as kotelnik doesnt get stuck on the ropes he'll be fine

He hasnt fought anyone with a punch because FW knows that he will probably getted KO'd. I think his offense is good he has a very poo defence however and that doesnt go well with a bad chin

why is he silly? he didn't make the rankings, but barrera was and still is ranked top ten in the wbo's rankings.
But because he's rated in the WBO top ten it doesn't mean Barrera was a top ten lightweight. FFS, are you really using the WBO rankings as a barometer to PROPER rankings. If anyone had Barrera in their top then that's silly. WBO are silly coontz. Fact.
The fact that the WBO STILL have Barrera in their top ten is proof of that.

By the WBO. And thus, for me, isn't a legitimate top ten lightweight.
