Thanks everyone, yes Mossy I did get stopped against Perez by the ref and it wasn't a minute. I wasn't hurt, it was inexperience on my part. The fight is on Youtube if you want to watch it. Teddy what can you tell me about Towers, I know he beat Woolas on points but I didn't see the fight? I know he is a tall athletic looking lad but don't really know what his style is like.

Thanks mate, I thought Perez was fast but didn't think he hit that hard. I've seen him fight since and he tires in the later rounds. I'd like a rematch but need to get a few wins under my belt first. I've been working on some different things in the gym with my new coach and manager Oliver Harrison. I am improving and the wins will start to come in now. I never boxed amateur and jumped in at the deep end and I'm still learning my trade, Oliver is teaching me a lot.

Isnt Richard Towers real name Richard Hayles?

There is a documentary about him on youtube - ex fellon trying to turn his life round. If he boxes like he spars in the clip then he should be WIDE OPEN: He might be tall and athletic but he looks terribly raw in the spar:

He had next to no amateur experience has average power, put pressure on him straight from the off and ruff him up. Make sure you go in there believing you will win.

I have a feeling that this will be one of those fights that is on during the Sky coverage, but isn't actually show live. Y'know, one of those fighters where "pundits" chat away on TV at ringside, and you can see the fighters boots as the fight goes on behind them.

Or possible as the first fight on the card.

Funny you should say that Whicker, Towers fight was on in the background behind the pundits on the Henessey show when he debuted against Woolas. I'd be happy if the same happened tomorrow!

Yeah, thats the one I remember most recently, I remember it was Woolas fighting, didn't realise it was Towers fighting him.

So Towers was on a Hennessy card, now he is on a Warren bill?

He was a good kid, kept me out with them long arms and was throwing the uppercut as I came in. Tried to work on him up against the ropes but when I got him there he was good at tying me up without it looking to obvious to the ref.

He seemed to have a good attitude after the fight, obviously done a lot of growing up in prison. I hope he keeps doing what he's doing and keeps out of trouble. The Ingle's are obviously investing a lot of time and effort into him, he's in mint condition and was a lot calmer and more confident than I thought he would be. Anyway, back to the gym Wednesday and get back on it.

Yeah points mate, he took every round. I had no grounds to argue, he fought the right fight and did well.
