I'm also unsure about the career management this kid is receiving, what's it all about? Seems a very strange one he's potentially better and more exciting than all 3 of the 'amateur superstars' that FW is trying to push in our faces.

I THINK HE COULD DO WITH THE TYPE OF MANAGEMENT HENNESEY HAS DONE FOR FROCH , MAYBE KELL HASNT GOT MUCH PERSONALITY OR MAKES NO EFFORT TO SELL TICKETS , WHO KNOWS , SEND HIM MY WAY ILL PROMOTE HIM .

Warren was on talksport this morning raving about Kell Brook "future world champion no doubt"

Along with Kevin Mitchell and Nathan Cleverly, saying both these will hopefully be getting title shots within the year.

I agree he should be topping FFN bills instead of being on PPV and not getting seen i was dissapointed they never put the fight on as the had 45 minutes scheduled in until it was finished but they never used it

do Cleverley or Brook have much of a following in their home towns? i know Mitchell is pretty popular in the smoke so he will sell tickets where as the other two i'm not sure.

Cleverly - not much, the only fights he's had in South Wales has been mainly low down on a Calzaghe undercard. Although he does seem to take a few away with him. Friends and family I suppose.

I think now is the time for him to headline his own show in Cardiff.

know brook took' 150 supporters to the men' as i bought a ticket ,and asked how meny wes going.

dont know but every body in sheffield knows he is the man in boxing .and sheffield has become known as a boxing city.curtersy of naz.and a lot say he is bettre.or as talanted.

kell not in the same class as naz....never will be...will get found out at the higher level...whos lomax dont read too much into that .

they should put him on up there as you say the city has a big boxing following so parade the Brook before the wednesday and United play and i'm sure he would fill out a decent size venue then take it from there.

thats been my question for years. Fair enough Amir was fighting for a world title last night but he still gets promoted better then brook and kells the better prospect. I think with the right promotion Kell could be as big as Amir plus hes got the looks so marketing wise and sponsors i.e gillette, calvin klein etc he could be huge.

Emma, i have to agree but i just think with the silver medal half the marketing job with Khan was done where as Kell they would have to start from a much lower point to build his profile which is a shame

Kel has had his doubters and if you look back a decent amount of bad publicity saying he wasn't living the life, loves biscuits etc.
I include Wazza in that list, believe it or not.
However, I think Kel has now proved all the doubters wrong with his performances in the last 3 fights.
It's only fair that Dave Coldwell gets a mention here.
He worked well with Dave, and started living right.
That has carried on in the same vein now he's back at Wincobank.
I expect Kel to be topping the bill soon in Sheffield, either at Hillsborough Leisure Centre or Ponds Forge.
They both can hold about 1500 and it will sell out.
However there is a complication in that Wazza's deal with Sky is up.
There are now a number of Promotors desperately seeking TV deals, so the next few months are going to be revealing.
Hennessey, Wazza, Hayemaker, Hobson - where will they surface ? Will they surface ?
For the good of boxing all need to secure deals.
The others are ok for now - Hearn, Maloney, Hatton.
Interesting times - but I sincerely hope that our future prospects such as Kel are not adversely affected by Promotion / TV issues.

Brook is injury prone. Allegedly put him on two Friday night top of the bills, but he pulled out. I think he was on Saturday as it was the last available TV date of the year - same reason Smith, Mitchell and Enzo were on.
