i thought he had signed a contract to stay amatuer until 2013? still good news as he's a good fighter and just need to get him on the the telly.

I've not heard about that contract. He's definitely turning pro.

At 18 he has got plenty of time on his hands and I'm sure he'll do well at Fight Academy. It would be great to see him fight on a televised show.

yeah seen this lad in the abas..decent lad ...but not the most entertaining of boxers ...should do OK i think though.

thanks for topic..as amature u av to adampt to the computer scoring.i been trainning with pros all my life as boxer so as pro difrent game looking very woward to it

Best of luck Liam. I believe that you've sparred with the likes of Gavin, Watson, Smedley and many more pros. All that experience will definitely come in handy during the first phase of your pro career.

yeah sparred frankie gavin,billy joe,nicky smedley,femi femhintola craig watson steffy bull there loads.but thank you again mate

I was impressed with him in the ABA's looked sharp another good British prospect coming through

you say liam is not the most entertaining,i think you watched him in the aba finals?the way liam boxed then was the tactics we had to use to beat a top fighter in dudley and same in the british but sharper.in the semis of the british liam changed his style and stopped a good welsh lad..same in the quaters of the abas ..he can adapt,hes prepared to step out of his comfort zone and will spar anyone if it helps him,the list of top lads hes spared are frankie gavin,billy joe saunders, craig watson ,john ibbotson, danny teesdale,nicki smedley,stuart brookes,gavin smith,femi ,witherspoon jnr,joe elfide and steffi bull, and learnt loads from each of the sessions .and hes a nice kid as well very big for a welter and as improved so much in last year or since he went to 3 min rounds...for the record he as won all his fights at 3 min rounds including internationals

He has made the right move!!

TV deal or not - he can learn from his first 10 fights or so - slip under the radar and if and when he is ready for title shots thats when TV comes along and with it the bigger money - Liam has made a good move - Dennis is a good manager and promoter.

If & when Liam is ready to step up in class and wanting to get his name really noticed and if TV has not offered FA anything then Liam will have some decisions to make then wont he!!

For the time being there is no problem

holiday to spain first for us all roll on 14th aug,hell be heavyweight when he gets back t way he eats

cameron will make his pro debut end of october in sheffield

spud hope you will be there pal....he as studied the welter division domestically and knows in time he will beat the lot....although hes only 18 he cant wait to box as a pro and wants to fight as much as he can...he had 12 amateur fights last year 3 in a week in championships, i think the gbs av lost a good fighter,but they av not even contacted liam or anything so they cant av wanted him that much...hope he fills the venue on his debut
