Turpin and Hamed above Jackie "Kid" Berg is just plain silly. Fitzsimmons should be at 1 or 2.

Does Nigel Benn deserve a shout on that list?

Fitzsimmons is surely King of the Brits.

Berg's absence is glaring, Wilde is the obvious #1 imo.

Er... The list is not in any order guys.

It's just a list of 10 names..

My take reading the article is that it is in order #1 being Wilde and so on. There's a few comments the author makes to give the impression they are ranked, I might be wrong though.

Lets not clown around, Fitz is about as British as Bob Hope, how long did he actually spend in Britain? Always thought of that as a tenuous British claim to the heavyweight title to say the least, but to be fair we were so desperate I'm not surprised!

Tenuous nothing.

Changing ones location does not change ones genes. He's a Brit.

By birth certainly, but somebody who as far as I know didn't even visit Britain since the age of two probably didn't feel British. Don't get me wrong, we're happy to claim him, but it's almost as weak as 'Aussie' Joe Bugner.

Considering it's HBO it is actually not a bad list. Would certainly replace Hamed with Berg though.

Fitz and his family migrated to New Zealand when he was age nine, not two.

I was pleased to see Owen Moran on the list.

Shows what a boxing powerhouse south Wales was, with three of the list (Driscoll, Wilde and Welsh) hailing from there.

You're quite right Ray. I was under the illusion for years that he left when he was two, you learn something new every day! Though he was apparently a U.S citizen when he won the title.

Benny Lynch and Jack Kid Berg are glaring omissions, Calzaghe should be in the lower reaches of the top 10 as well
