Its a tough fight for Booth but i fancy him to win by stoppage late on as Hunter has been inactive but it will still be a tough fight for him Hunter is a decent fighter

hunter does not deserve this, he should fight pickering again.

How exactly does Hunter not deserve this? British, Commonwealth and European champion who never lost his belts in the ring and has only ever lost once, to Molitor in an IBF world title fight.

Pickering has lost 3 of his last 5 and frankly looks shot to bits.

Also Tony and Darren will both be on that show .......plus all the local boxers

If Booth boxes as well as he has been recently, he'll win at a canter.

What annoys me about Hunter is that every time he sees me at ringside he slags me off for saying his win over Pickering was 'controversial'. Firstly, even if I had, I'd have been accurate. Secondly, I didn't. I had him winning narrowly and I was writing for Pickering's paper too!

You just can't tell some people though...

Journeyman? Aktas was reigning EU featherweight champion and former French super-feather champ. What you are? What exactly is Pickering? Splitting a pair of fights with Sean Hughes and outpointing Sid Razak? Somehow I don't see Hunter losing much sleep over Brown Sugar.

10 months out come fight night. Phew, big ask. It's the mental side of things with Hunter, if not 110%, could be marmalised if his opening typhoon has no effect on the champ.
Will be a white hot atmosphere anyhow!

True Booth's not much of a puncher, especially up at 122.
But if you remember Steve Molitor wasn't exactly renowned for his power either, but the clean punches did real damage to Hunter and put him away. Now Molitor hits a lot harder than Booth, but that was a prime Hunter v Molitor not the current 31 year old Hunter, a man who's had 3 fights in the 3 years since Molitor....none at Championship level. You have to question if Hunter will have the hunger aswell, he isn't going to achieve anything more than he did earlier in his career and also when push came to shove although he was severely outclassed in the Molitor fight he did quit.

So I reckon would could have a similar thing here, clean punches from Booth round after round, Hunter becoming discouraged and eventually having enough sometime late in the fight.

Alot of Question's against Hunter but if he has got the Hunger back and been putting the training for
12 rounds i think this could be a good fight.
Hunter is Massive compared to Booth, he wont out class him but could he out work him being the
Natural bigger and stronger Man... See this being a very interesting Fight..

you need to take off your rose tinted specs and look at the supposed opponents aktas had fought for those alleged titles, it was journeymen fighting journeymen, plain and simple, aktas is a journeyman who tries to win, ill give you the benefit of the doubt on that one, but, to even remotely try and flower up hunters consistency and /or recent pedigree is at best laughable.

hunter was a decent domestic fighter in his day, he narrowly beat pickering but bit the canvas twice doing so, the result was controversial. since then hunter has failed to impress, yes, he has had personal problems but hey, dont we all. booth has been like a fine wine of late, showing a good appetite for the game and a decent engine, hunter is ring rusty and is like an old bottle of lucozade, once bubbly and full of energy, now flat and out of date !! .... DD , hunter is also gun shy and will take a beating from booth which will end about round 8 with hunter having enough of booths pitter patter punches wearing him down to nose and body.

booth is 2smooth....hits 2often...and expect hunter 2quit !!!
