Re: Roach dumps Moorer

There were rumours about Roach getting rid of Moorer a while back. Apparently Moorer is an alcoholic?
You misread it. Pac's entourage were not happy with Pac being carried around the ring.Autobarn wrote:i'm sorry but who is pac's "fellow countryman" that moorer carried around the ring?
Moorer had issues from as early as his days at light heavy. I remember he said something strange to the affect of Mike Tysons words when Mike said he wanted to "push his opponents nose into his brain". At the time Moorer wasnt much a known quantity despite holding the WBO and having a ton of KO's. He went under the radar until he ate his way into a heavyweight.overhand_right wrote:If you recall in the 90's Moorer always had a rep for being surly, odd and difficult.
Can imagine someone like Moorer being quite a scary bloke when he's in one of his foul moods, would be interesting to hear what Amir Khan made of him as I believe Moorer was in camp for the MAB fight.
(Wouln't surprise me if Amir didn't even know who a Michael Moorer even was though)
mike was an icon, and said that comment about someone else(reggie gross)moorer doesnt belong in the same sentancescurlaruntings wrote:Moorer had issues from as early as his days at light heavy. I agree, he looked to be stepping on Freddies toes at times. He also appeared to be suggesting that he would take over the wildcard when Freddie could no longer continue. It was as if he was pushing Freddie to take a back seat. At times during 24/7 I feared that he was causing confusion in the camp and Manny P was a little unsettled. Roach even alluded to Manny not 'being used to another voice'.TheCobra wrote:He came across as a pretty weird annoying guy on the Hatton/Pacman 24/7 programmes, in other words he got on my nerves and I could see sometimes he was getting on Roach's nerves by his reactions to things Moorer was saying in that programme.

It was after the Ferguson fight, I think, he floored Gerguson with a right hook to the body, right uppercut to the head, it was then edited and included in Mike's vids as a 'KO' win, when it was actually a DQ win.

Damn you Terence!
Stop trying to sully the gleaming reputation of Mike Tyson! He was an icon, so those around him could claim he KO'd whomever he wished, or indeed threaten to rape someone's baby & it'd still be fine. You know it.
