Read this:

Hatton v Marquez

In the article it is suggesting Hatton only wants to make a comeback if its a meaningful name - the obvious question is why comeback - he has achieved all he needs to and has only lost against the P4P best fighters in the world - alas he has come up short BIG time and as such whats the point of flogging a dead horse?

If Hatton finds a way of convincing himself now is that right time to bow out and concentrate on his promotional company - then he can definitely hold his head high - but if he were to continue he will be in danger of fight fans merely discussing how sad his last few fights were and quite personally I do not want to see that happen.

Finally if Hatton refuses to accept it is the right time and using his and what seems Golden Boys logic concerning a possible next bout - a fight against Amir Khan where money is going to be made for everyone seems to be the logical step to take - minor problem with that though - that is all sides will want the fight as a "co-promotion" - that is the only way in my view the fight will happen under the fighters present contractual arrangements :TU:

I find this speculation as quite sad - I really thought Hatton had talked himself into retirement.

Any thoughts on Hatton and this latest speculation?

I really don't want to see Hatton fight again (against anyone), but - regarding a possible Khan fight - isn't Amir now a free agent?

Key bit is if Marquez pulls it off against Mayweather

thus memaning he can be argued as Pound for Pound no 1 and hatton can try and claim that title again
that he loves to go after

Cant see any of it happening though

if marquez beats mayweather, which is not very likely, theres only one man he will want to face, and thats pacquaio for the rubber match, probably at 140.

Yeah, I am afraid Hatton going to have to have a high profile "2nd tier" fighter before he can contimplate the P4P bigrade.

If Marquez loses then its a possibility, Jaun Diaz (if he beats Malignaggi), the Tim Bradley/Nate Campbell winner, and Khan.

I actually don't mind to see him back in the ring. I think he can mix it at this level.

i wonder if hatton can get motivated for these second tier fights, i think theres a good chance of him losing to someone he probably would still beat. its happened to plenty of other fighters before.

hatton will get hurt if he continues and id really hate it if he decides to fight kahn
he ll probaly fight at 147 as i honestly dont think he could comfortably make 140,probably ruling out a fight with marquez

Who cares about the P4P title, Ricky is the peoples champion, just like the lad next door who doesn't need to prove anything anymore. Retire with dignity Ricky and have great fun drinking and eating yourself to an early grave :TU:
