For a veteran snake like Shelley Finkel to cry foul over Haye’s having back-doored him is to give voice to the uncomfortable realization that they did it to him before he could do it to them.

I can’t imagine what a WBA belt is worth these days at the negotiating table, as I ran into a guy at the bowling alley yesterday who had one and another one this morning at Wal-Mart. But hey, it’s not my career.

At the end of the day the options the Klitschko's wanted weren't great for Haye. Fighting Valuev is a better option in the sense that he can do what he wants afterwards. He's gonna take some stick, because he's done so much talking and initailly agreed to the contract demands the Klitschko's made, but I think he'll get his fight with one or both the brother's if he beats Valuev.

The Klits want those belts in the family even if no one else cares about them and that coupled with the fact that the heavyweight division is weak means Haye will get his chance. And like he has said, he'll be in a stronger position to negotiate with a title.

I hope Haye loses to Valuev. Talked too much shite and ran when he had the chance to back it up.

I don't think he's running away at all, I just think he's in a rush and when the Klitschko negotiations started the Valuev offer wasn't on the table. If Wlad and Vitali didn't want options I think we'd be seeing Haye in with one of them next, but they did, so we're not.

I hate options on fighters. Fish f*cker does it, and it seems the Klit's were doing it too. In one of Haye's interviews he commends Valuev and his team for "letting him get on with his career if Haye were to win" - I think options should be banned.

Options are a bastard. Thats why fighting yourself into a mandatory position and then mouthing off is the best situation. That way your guaranteed 25% split of the pure and free to do what the hell you like should you win.

But think about the options Haye was offered.

1. Fight Vitali.
2. Rematch Vitali if you win.
3. Fight Wlad.

So if we are to believe Haye, and he is 100% confident he will destroy Vitali and Wlad and they are boring and bad for the sport, then why wouldn't he want to fight Vitali and KO him? Why wouldn't he then want to give him a rematch and KO him again? And why wouldn't he want to UNIFY the titles by KOing Wladdy?

What exactly is Haye complaining about. Seems to me like he completely bottled it and realises that Vitali is WAY TOO TOUGH A JOB for him.
