Why can't they include some boxing, any level really. Just gets left in the dark again.

What exactly did Audley Harrison do to the BBC that was so wrong?
The BBC paid too much to him, that is their fault.

Don't think it's anything to do with this, Adam - not in this case, anyway (though you are right, generally).
In this case, all the events are scheduled, if you get my drift. Home test matches, rugby world cup, etc. They are pretty much guaranteed to happen. That isn't the way with boxing - if boxing wasn't so utterly sh*t in terms of self-governance, you could have 'any world title fight involving a British fighter'.
Then you're back where you started with Audley v Hersisia for the WBWank title, etc.

Indeed. But if I go to a plush looking restaurant and shell out £50 for a sh*t meal...it's my fault because I went in there...but I certainly wouldn't go back for seconds.

Yes, but would you never go to another restaurant again?

What I would welcome, is the days of delayed next morning coverage, like we had through most of Tyson's early career.
Sure, we didn't get to see it live, but at least we got to see it!

Good point - I'd probably start at an all you can eat buffet for a tenner (Prizefighter)!

And Grant v Guinn! No-one? Okay then.
Just to clarify that this isn't the BBC saying they won't be showing boxing, it merely wants a review of what's regarded as "The Crown Jewels".
Boxing has never been part of this. Probably because we don't have an Ashes or FA Cup Final type event.

Hit the nail on the head IMO.
Seriously though, after the success of the Boxing team in Beijing you'd think they'd like to promote the sport a little more to youngsters, but they have been burned before so...

I wish we had a choice in paying for BBC. I watch no BBC and yet still pay for it- grossly unfair.

I used to think that. Then I lived away for a couple of years where we had US telly. No comparison - the BBC (apart from having far too many unaccountable bureaucrats) comes up with some great viewing. There's surely something for everyone.

I like the way BBC are now demanding they be able to show the 20/20 final , after letting SKY do all the ground work in making it big....

BBC won't get the cricket. The ECB needs the sky money.

So let's do something. WE pay for the BBC so let's get the e-mail address of the decision makers and let them know what WE want for OUR money.
