Arturo Gatti vs. Bobby Chacon @ 130 lbs

First I want to say, rest in peace champ.
This would be an all out war. Arturo was arguably at his best at 130, partly in the fact that he put on so much weight after the weigh-in. Chacon was an all out fighter with two of my favorite fights, against Boza-Edwards II and Limon IV. As great as Bobby was, I don't think he was quite as good at 130 as Gatti was.
My own prediction: a war with both going down, but Gatti scoring a late stoppage in a fight for the ages.

This sort of clash could be fatal to someone. Too much heart, not enough "escape mentality".
I would imagine this would contain a lot of difficult to witness, brutal punishment....the sort of thing most of us pay to see when we go to a fight. But seldom see.
These are the sort of fights that get the "feint at heart folks", clamoring for boxing to be outlawed.

This would be an absolutely savage fight hard for me to pick as Gatti is my personal favorite fighter while Chacon vs Limon in the 1982 Fight of the Year is my favorite all time fight. This is a fight that both men would come out worse for wear for sure. It would be one of the all time great fights despite the winner. Doctor's are glad this one never happened. HA.

Chacon wins, better at avoiding punches, more comfortable at the weight.

When Bobby Chacon went up in weight at 130lbs, he was good, but not as good or great when he was at featherweight. Still, the Chacon of the late 70s and early 80s had more talent than Arturo Gatti. It would be a great war, no doubt about it, but Chacon had more class and technique, was a better inside fighter and probably had the greater heart. Gatti gets cut easily, and that would be one of his handicaps. Chacon in a 8th round stoppage on cuts.
