Well, as a former World Champion who suddenly looks very beatable, then offers of work will no doubt come in, as a credible "opponent." I'd hope he can exploit that, and bang someone out, but then that somehow seems a bit optomisitc.

there is nothing in a witter fight for hatton now. it'd make no sense for hatton imo.

Although Hatton might fancy his chances now? for all Hatton's "closing the curtains" talk, I'd bet he really would love nothing more than to beat Witter.

Failing that, come back to doemstic level and win the lonsdale outright. If I'm correct I dont think he has done that. . I would also try and ditch that Ingle style that he cant carry off now but then that is not really an option at this advanced stage of his career

Promotors all around the world might be interested in him- as an (apprantly) very faded former World Champion he is a great "opponent."

Come on guys. Lets be realistic. Hatton will only come back for something big. Something that allows him to regain a lot of glory after the Pac-man disaster but which isn't mission impossible.
So he isn't going to comeback against a PBF, a JMM or a Cotto. But equally he isn't going to come back against Witter who now brings absolutely nothing to the table. If he beats him then it's "So what? Witter was finished and wasn't even that great to being with!" And if he loses then its a serious tarnish to his legacy. Losing to a modern day great rated Number 1 in the P4P rating s is hardly a disgrace. But getting beat up by a washed up Junior Witter may result in Ricky disappearing to the bottom of a bottle permanently.
On the other hand Witter looks like perfect fodder for Khan on paper and based on that last fight may fold in the face of some early sustained Khan pressure. However Witter is always capable of an unorthodox bomb, and we all know that Amir's chin is mega-suspect. I would be surprised if uncle Frank plumps for him.

If I'm brutally honest, I don't think there is anything for Witter now. And it might be best, he had the look, just now, of a man who just doesn't have it any more.

Retirement would be best, imo.

like other people have said, think he will get more offers of work but a dangerous gatekeeper type role.

He's not made much money from boxing has he though, maybe he can campaign at Euro level because he isnt World Level, just never learnt how to punch straight or throw combinations and doesn't have a warriors heart

why? there would have been something wrong with him in that fight, as well, probably. some of these yorkshiremen can get very negative so i wouldn't want a witter to go in without sufficient training.

What now? Retirement or the Howard Eastman route. Simple as that. I'd rather see him retire though as he's horrible to watch.

Don't get carried away - it's not long since he was well under par against Bradley and still pushed him close. You might be right though as this seems a really poor performance. He's become more and more unorthodox and doesn't box with any kind of pace either.

More to the point, if he can't sort his hand, he'll have no option other than pack it in.

If he is physically able to box on without getting bashed up, I'd like to see him get one or two more pay days. For one reason or another, he hasn't made that much.

boxing is cruel, fans demand a lot. they don't care if witter has something on his mind (bradley), if he wants to avoid getting KO'd (judah), or if he has injured himself (alexander). they want winners, and they want exciting ones.

or they want an outgoing personality who can talk about nobs, erections, pints and pork pies.

or an olympic medallist.
