NSW Decision Amendments - Dib & Ammann

by AntonS
The Authority had informed BoxRec of the following:-
Ammann V's Withers: TECH DRAW to now read WIN DISQULIFICATION Ammann 1:20 Round 1 (DSC).
The Authority's decision was by reason of what was determined to be the deliberate use of the right elbow on two occasions by Daniel Withers, the second occasion causing the cut to Daniel Ammann which inturn caused the bout to be stopped by the ringside Physician.
Dib V's Yamaguchi: TKO Dib to now read NO CONTEST 2:59 Round 1.
The Authority's decision was by reason of what was determined to be deliberate and illegal activity by both contestants during the round.

I can't believe this

. Both calls are correct, but this is a very rare occurance for a governing body to review and rectify. Hats off to them for this announcement. The sport is better for it.

Mate it was Blatent, Ammann was gutted, i still dont know why Jamie done it, he actually looked the better boxer, but it was a deliberate foul twice and a DQ, i'm glad that this has happened, maybe they can get it on again for the rubber match.
Well i guess it shows that no one is above the law, Dib with all his contacts and support will not be gifted fights anymore.

I'm surprised that they did this, well done (claps hands). Especially didn't see the Dib fight being changed given that he's a top prospect. Figured the blind eye would be used. I'm glad to be wrong.

Justice has been served at last and kudos to the officials for doing the right thing.
A pox upon anyone who disputes this decision.

I have seen Jamie fight a couple of times hes not to shabby.
i think its a good slap in the face for Dib to wake up to himself and realise that he is still no one in the world of boxing.

Kudos to the New South Wales boxing commission, from an English boxing fan.

I didnt think they could AMEND fights that are already done and recorded

They're not amending the fight, but the record of the fight, because it was incorrect.
