We do however have good money and negotiations on a Charles fight
as well as a show down with Corbett. So many contenders out there,
we are sifting through what ones we can face at a given time. Though
the champ and I are eager to see him stay active with 3-4 defences a
year.

We have given a guranteed shot to the winner of the Foreman-Marciano
bout, should we get past Willard.

Not much time, so I'll just add one, & colour others in later. I'd keep Foreman away from Tunney. Not much respect if he does win from people stating the latter was just too small, but Tunney was as determined, & almost as out-&-out tough, as he was an intelligent boxer & ring general. He could make Foreman look bad in winning, &, possibly, even swing the upset. He's one fighter I'd keep Foreman away from. Joe Walcott is another, for much the same reasons. Have to think Foreman'd beat both, but too little reward for too much risk, IMO.

Is there no great HW champ in history you consider too great a risk-reward ratio for Holmes?

Incidentally, Holmes is another my head tells me to keep Foreman away from. I think it's a near pick 'em fight, so I should steer clear, but the thought of Foreman laying out Holmes is just too tempting, & I think I'd throw my boy in there. Holmes'd never handle the early heat when his jab failed to keep Foreman off, I'd convince myself. Maybe. Maybe not.
