Why is Gomez fighting unlicensed?

Has his licence been revoked? I have heard a few things about him fighting at the Ritz a couple of times, and his last fight against a pre-op transsexual.
He stated in an article he wanted to take his record up to fifty fights and he has one left, but why if its not on his official record?

Easy money, I suspect. Mike knows only how to fight, so in his eyes £1000 to fight has-beens , never-weres or amateur street fighters is good money. Puts food on the table.
Could you see him stacking shelves in tesco?

I saw him working the door at a nightclub in Stalybridge the other night, I was very drunk so was trying to beckon him over, I was like Gomez!! Legend! hahhaa. He ddin't seem too impressed to be honest so I shut up, he must be sick of it I suppose.

He would get a lot more than a grand, it is typical for a fighter to keep half the ticket money, and Gomez was always a big seller.
If he gets to keep 20 quid a ticket and sold 250, there is 5k for him, more than he would get for a small hall fight and and easy nights work. If he made the effort he could sell far for tickets as well

Fair comment coco although the lads I know who fight EBF dont get a ticket share system. Unless its optional and they just dont take it, never asked really.
Also, they were offered two options - winner takes all or a 50/50 split. How many would go winner takes all with Mike I wonder? You sure Mike would be motivated to sell lots of tickets, personally?

By all accounts, Mike likes two things, fighting and dosh, so they gave him money to fight, and he fought.
gomez had alot to say in the build up to the fight aswell..

just like he did in the pro's.. gomez called him a puff in the local newspaper

i wouldnt say a 50/50 slit was typical in the slightest .
he was probably offered a cash sum rather than tickets but if he was working on ticket sales he maybe would get 50/50 at the maximum , typical is 25% but gomez isnt typical .
